Sorry if i have already missed this thread, but does anyone know when Virgin will open up the seat selection.

Been on a couple of times and it still says its unavailable.

What flight are you on?
We are getting not available for our return flight(reserved outbound) but thats because we are on the new A330 plane which they are not releasing seats for yet, hopefully in next few days but not seen an exact dates.

dosent it say its not available if there are no self selection seats left?
so you need to be seated at check in, or am i getting muddled up with someone else?

We are on VS075 Outbound and VS076 Inbound. Are these the New A330 Planes,

And also I got my friend from Thomas Cook who we booked with to Phone Virgin to ask if we could use our Air miles to maybe Upgrade to Premium, she said we were not able to do this we could only upgrade to Upper Class Weird, I think i will ring them myself and ask about this.

Yes you should be on the A330-300
We fly out on the VS073 (747) and return on the VS076 (A300)
Prebooked our seats outbound but can't do the return flights on the A300 yet, rumours are from 1st Nov but Virgin have been quoting early Nov so that leaves them room to change.

Upgrading is not usually easy if you have bought a cheap economy ticket. Ring and ask but I doubt you will find a good price, if you can even do it at all. I once rang and asked to upgrade to PE just the return leg, wanted £700pp beacause I had bought my original tickets on M&M.
