Virgin Seat Reservations

My TA has just told us our seats for August have been ticketed and given us our code for seat reservations but when I have gone on the site to reserve our seats there were only about half a dozen available none together. She mentioned that more mnay be released in phases. Does anyone know when seats are released or should we wait until check in?

apparently 40 % are released the day before your flight.
i'm sure this is right, someone will come along to clarify!!

You must remember that your seating request is just that - a request and Virgin are under no obligation to honour it. In fact, if there is a plane change then all seating requests are deleted and they start again!

The best way to ensure you get the seats you want is to use the on-line checking facility 24 hours before your flight, get to twilight checking early or as a last resort arrive at the airport the morning of your flight when check in opens.

Not all seats are made available for advanced seating requests and Virgin will make every effort to seat families together.
