Do BA offer a Premium Economy that's on a par with Virgin's?

I've only flown Business Class BA to the states (with the foldy fan things between the seats) but I think that'll be way over our wedding flight budget (Ideally between £1500-£2k for the two of us)

How do VA and BA compare with premium services?

Having looked at the BA site I think it's World Traveller Plus we'd be after.

Any reviews or comparisons with VA PE would be amazing. :)

I haven't done the BA PE thingy, but have done VA PE several times. From what I've read before, the BA version is hardly worth the money and VA PE is way better.
I think VA PE gets better food, seperate check in, ...

BA WTP definitely not worth the extra. We are generally BA fans, and I think both WT and Club offer good value. WTP is basically a smaller cabin with slightly bigger seats - but you share cabin staff with WT, you eat the same food, yet you can pay 3 times the WT ticket price.

We flew WTP a 18 months ago as Club with 2 kids was £££, and then last year happened to be upgraded for the flight home to the back row of WTP, but we would never pay again. I would sooner fly WT and save the money to fly Club next time.

Virgin on the other hand is a much better premium experience, and worth the extra in my view.

We have flow Virgin PE several times and love it, especially upstairs on the 747, you feel like its a 36 seat plane. Service has been greta and found it very relaxing.
Tried BA last year in WTP as we connect from Glasgow and it meant not having to pick up bags in London. Very disappointed to be honest, not a patch on Virgin and felt like economy with a slightly larger seat. Cabin felt cramped and cabin crew were not the best.

Never been on WTP myself, only Virgin PE.

I'm fairly sure you don't get better food in PE than Economy. However, you do get decent cutlery (silly thing but makes a nice difference!) and served before them basically ensuring that you always have full choice of options rather than risk them running out by the time they reach your seat.

If you can get seated in the bubble then it's great as it's usually much quieter too which is very nice, especially on the flight home.
