I booked our seats today but I'm confused! We've been given 71 HK&C upstairs, which according to the seating plan are bulkhead seats - I asked the lady at Virgin who I was speaking to if this was correct, which she confirmed they were bulkheads and was actually surprised herself that the system had allowed her to pre-allocate them. Do you think I should call them back to triple check or just accept what she told me (she confirmed again that the system allowed her to book them for us). I don't know if this has anything to do with it but we had originally contacted Virgin Special Assistance to deal with our accomodation requirements (for medical reasons) and she said my condition was noted on the booking?

Dont think it is really worth checking again. They can (and often do) change the allocation anyway.

It happened again to us this time. We were moved 1 row back on going out and downstairs to "not quite first" on the way back.

Couple with 2 children in front of us who had also allocated seats were moved cause another family of 3 had boarding cards with the same seat numbers !!!

Which route are you on, Clare? If it's Gatwick to Orlando, then 71 is definitely the bulk-head row. Having said that, I think it's just the exit seats (row 75) which you can't pre-book. These are the best seats in the Premium Economy cabin (on the LGW-MCO route) IMHO. We've always managed to secure them by arriving early at check-in.

Thanks for replying guys, knowing our luck we will probably be moved! Debbie, we're on the Gatwick Orlando route, I have to say I'm rather relieved at not having exit seats - call me weird but I've got this phobia of the doors flying open!!

Sorry, another question! We've never flown PE on the newer planes (upstairs) - is there a separate WC upstairs or do you have to go downstairs?

On the virgin plane upstairs last year we had 3 WCs for the whole of the PE section. Heaven no queues. They were located at the front of the section.

Bulkheads in PE and economy are reserved for special assistance passengers and are only released when those passengers are looked after. If your booking had a special assistance note on it then that's why you've been allocated bulkheads - enjoy them PE is good but bulkhead PE is great extra legroom and no one to recline onto you.

Alec

Hopefully they won't move us but if they do, well nevermind. 3 wcs to the PE cabin alone deffinitely sounds like heaven!
