Virgin PE - Cabin Luggage Space Query

Hubby and I are flying PE with Virgin for the first time in January. We have booked the back two seats on the left in the bubble upstairs.

As we normally fly economy we normally have plenty of overhead luggage space, having never flown in the PE section I wasn't sure what to expect.

We normally travel with one DSLR camera bag and a rucksack. Is there room for these?

There are no overhead lockers upstairs in PE. Instead there are lockers on the floor alongside the seats. You will have plenty of room.

There are no overhead luggage bins upstairs. Instead, the bins are located at seat level next to the windows. Dh takes a large Lowepro backpack (containing DSLR, various lens, laptop, etc.) and that won't fit. There is a cupboard at the top of the stairs with plenty of room for storing anything which won't fit in the bins.

Thats a bit of a relief, I had the horrible thought that we would have to part with out hand luggage and have it stowed somewhere else.

there have been overhead lockers on the planes we have been on upstairs in PE, as well as lockers running alongside the window sides.
If like my bag- yours won't fit in the overhead locker then the stewerdess will take it and store it in the cupboard at the back of the plane.

Netty is right there are overhead luggage storeage bins but they are rather slim ie laptop bag slim, anything bigger can be stored in a locker at the back by the cabin crew.

We have allways had overhead lockers in P E cabin as well as the ones under the windows

We have always had overhead bins and window bins when flying to orlando with Virgin PE.

Rucksack size will fit in even if its bulked out with stuff as dh was but normal say sport bag types are too big!
you will have room somewhere to put your stuff, so don't worry!!
