Virgin online check in

Would I be right in guessing that the online check in goes into meltdown when a flight opens to be checked in?

We always do on-line check-in and have never had a problem with the site. Same as the return we usually do on-line check-in for that too.

well so far it has taken over 50 mins. I've managed to get right to the end and then it tells me it is unable to check me in online.
is this a common thing that happens or is it just easier to not bother.
we have never done online check in before, we just thought it was worth trying as i was at home and i was here to be able to do it.

We have never experienced this and have done online check with virgin may times. They seem to have it all pretty much sorted.

Never had any problems checking in on-line, think its an invaluable service and saves time at the airport for us.

It went through in the end but it took well over an hour, which in my eyes isn't really saving much time.
when you go on holiday you don't mind waiting around at the airport, or at least we don't hehe
