Virgin make PE more different to Economy

Virgin are announcing changes to their Premium Economy service.
Along with the better leg room and Champagne on boarding, the food will be served on china plates and is different to economy food.
The current food in PE from London-US is Chicken Tikka, Sausages/Mash and Tomato Pasta.

Whilst the food in Y from London-US is Chicken/Pasta, Mushroom Risotto and Beef Stew.

The meals are different in each class on the inbound flights too.

A new Premium Economy amenity kit should be onboard from March 15th.

It contains a pen, eyeshades, socks, earplugs, toothbrush and toothpaste all presented in a stylish wallet.

So from March onwards, PE will be a different animal

We are flying back PE on our next trip in July.This will be the first time we have used PE, we usually fly cattle class there and back.
Looking forward to having more legroom

Cool, I'm hoping that all the planes have the new purple PE seats by the time we go on our next trip. We have decided to go PE both ways (I need that extra luggage allowence especially on the way back!) We are flying from LHR to LAX and then Las Vegas to LGW though.

Must say our outbound flight on Dec 29th was quite messed about re food, firstly the printed menus were wrong and then they ran out of PE trays, so no Gu Choccie pots ! On the way back it was better and all our food was served on china plates etc.

It sounds very nice but sadly I still don't see myself getting the chance to try it anytime in the near future unless we get an upgrade

I experienced this 'enhanced' PE when I went to NY in December,it was good to have some improvements

I thought it wasn't on the MCO route yet? That one is usually last to get any refurbishments!
