Virgin M+M Fares question??

The Virgin miles plus money fares have just been released for the dates we want, but it will only show 1 or 2 available and we need 3. Does that mean there they have only released 2 at this price at the moment or do you think it would let me book 2 and then 1. Don't want to book 2 and then find I have to pay full fare for 1. Anybody elso had any similar experiences?

For last August the dates we wanted I could get 2 M&M seats but not 3. I ended up booking 3 free(paid tax) flights outbound then a seperate inbound flight with BMI. 3 M&M never happened.
Its a difficult position to be in and what to do for best.
