I'm so excited.. we've been trying to get into Le Cellier for dinner for.ever. and decided to just go with lunch so we could finally try it.

So, please tell me, what's your favorite appetizer, entree, side, dessert???

:cloud9:

I am in the same position. It will also be my first time at Le Cellier and I go for lunch. After having heard so many great things about them, I will have the cheese soup and the fillet (hopefully with the cream cheese mashed potatoes). I have not made up my mind about dessert yet.

I have always loved the BBQ filet, but it's gone now.

If you like mushrooms, then the mushroom filet is the best thing. DH gets it everytime. Unfortunately I don't like mushrooms.

This last time for lunch I tried the blue cheese burger and fries. It was really good. The fries are the good steak cut french fries.

The cheddar cheese soup is the best appetizer although I also love their field green salad. The caeser salad came whole last time and you had to chop it up yourself, but was still good.

Desserts - I'm not big on chocolate so can't commit on those, but the sorbets are good as well as the apple rubarb crumble. I did not care for the smore although it looked pretty. The marshmellow tasted old and the brownie part was very dry.

Cheddar Cheese Soup with Pretzel Bread
Filet with Mushroom Risotto
Maple Creme Brulee

Same here, hubby and I will be eating dinner. Joining friends who has eating their before. She loves  the chadder cheese soup, highly reccommends it. We will be leaving Sunday morning 9/6:banana:

I would go with the cheddar cheese soup, New York Strip steak, and the sorbet. This place is great! We ate there back in '07 for the first time and are going back next Thursday. Enjoy :thumbsup2

Had the striploin the last 2 visits and it was awesome. But I tried my brothers mushroom risotto and it was even better. This year I am going with the mushroom filet.

My favorite (and the only thing I'd get there) has been the Maple BBQ Filet and Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes. But that is no longer on the menu :(

So I have no idea what I'll get.

Caesar salad, mushroom filet and we skip dessert and get something elsewhere

havent been since 06 so menu has changed, back then I had a chicken pasta that was good, yr before I had prime rib that I wasnt crazy for. Soup is delicious! Will be back in the world in 2wks I plan on getting mushroom filet and cream cheese potatos and maple cream brulee! Have fun!

I have an ADR there for the 1st time on Sep 15th, I also don't like mushrooms, but I am sure I have read previously on the boards that they will switch the mushroom risotto for the cream cheese potatoes and can leave off the mushrooms.

Thats what I'm hoping for anyway!!

I hate mushrooms! We ate at LeCellier for the first time last week. Absolutely loved it and the mushroom filet without the mushrooms. I substituted the cream cheese mashed potatoes for the risotto too. We had chocolate mousse for dessert. Very cute and very yummy! Enjoy!:goodvibes

Let me start off by saying that I hate mushrooms. HATE THEM.
That being said, all time favorite must have everytime meal at Le Cellier is:

Cheese Soup with pretzel bread appi

Mushroom Fillet with risotto entree (yes, I hate mushrooms. But this is OMG SO GOOD! I pick the mushrooms off the top of the steak and start chowing down.)

Maple Creme Brule dessert.

Mine:
Cheddar cheese soup
Filet without mushrooms, sub cream cheese mashed potatoes (YUM.)
Maple creme brulee

DH's:
Caesar salad
New York Strip, add cream cheese mashed potatoes
...don't remember what he liked for dessert!

Extra pretzel bread is also a must. :) Dip it into the cheese soup!

I've only been once..

my fave app: the house salad. (no, really. It's THAT good.)
dessert: maple creme brulee

entree...the prime rib is "okay".

I am so excited.....we have ADRs for Le Cellier at Dinner in December, this is our first time going. Everything looks good, I do like mushrooms (I guess I am in the minority) so I think I will be trying filet with mushroom risotto. The Cheese Soup soup sounds awesome and I know I will not be able to decide between the maple Creme Brule or the Chocolate Mousse.....I guess I have 3 months before I have to really decide :goodvibes.

Thanks so much for the replies, everyone!! I *love* mushrooms, so I'll def. have to try those with my steak.

We leave for the world this saturday and have ADRs here on monday, the 7th.

:goodvibes
