Virgin Holidays advice sought

All's well that ends well.

My friends had a phone call from VH this morning telling them that the dining plan would be added back on for free.
Why they could not have done this in the first place and saved a lot of trouble and heartache I do not know. How many people accept the first thing they are told and end up out of pocket in circumstances like these?

i do agree with debbie about it not being a virgin concession, i don,t know if virgin has to let disney know by a set date the details of people on the ddp, but if they are prepared to meet half way it does'nt seem likely, i would put it to them that on other sites such as direct holidays and thomas cook the ddp was added automatically. this would have saved a lot of confusion, nobody in their right mind would of refused free ddp. i would keep trying.

Thanks Andrea, it certainly is a weight off their minds. Mike (our friend) was involved in a horrendous car accident a few weeks before Christmas and is still recovering. This was the last thing they needed.
Anyway, as you say, they can get back to enjoying the planning. They are coming round to our house for the evening in a couple of weeks time so we can give the wisdom of our advice. Shouldn't take long.
