Hi

We can book our ADRs in a couple of weeks (the '90 days')... but I am concerned about the 90 + 10 option

We are staying at Disney's Yacht Club, but as we've booked through Virgin Holidays - we have their reference # (XXXXX-S09) and not the WDW hotel reservation number.. which I believe they will ask for when I call wdw-dine?

I've tried calling VH and WDW guest services today... VH were no help and didn't really understand why I was calling - and the CM at Disney said that the Virgin ref # should be ok & that they'll just check our surname and dates of the reservation?

I'm confused!! Has anyone else managed to book ADRs with just the VH booking #?

Usually I book through dvc when i go to wdw so i'm not used to this system lol

Thank you!

Always use the Virgin ref number and never had any trouble booking - the cm sometimes asks where we are staying...good luck:thumbsup2

also not had a problem with this, good luck with your ressies xx

When I called a few weeks ago they couldn't find my ressie in the system :scared1:

We've booked with Disney UK flight inclusive package which is booked via a Virgin owned company so has the same format reference number. (xxxx-s09)

Whilst I was on the phone Disney located by reservation in their system and gave me the 16 digit (I think!) Disney reference number.

So, you should be able to get your ADR' booked, but they may need to locate your 'Disney reference number' first!

I have always called Virgin and asked for my Disney ressie number and been given it straight away, so maybe try call again? The one time I tried to make ADR's with the Virgin reference number Disney wouldn't let me.

Bookd ours 18 months ago using Thomas Cook Signature holiday reference number and they accepted that. I just explained we had booked through a UK tour operator. Rang 3 different times each time accepted OK. This time with all the trouble getting through to book ADR's I e-mailed disney and they confirmed I would be able to book OK using Virgin Holidays reference number at 90 days out for the first 10 days of our hols.

Thanks for all the responses everyone :goodvibes... it's put my mind at rest!

I've been super organised for the holiday so far and I would be dissappointed if we didn't get the ADRs I'd planned because of this ressie # issue!

Realised too that my 90 days-phoning-day is Good Friday so I will be at home and ready at the phone at 12pm! :thumbsup2

** UPDATE **

Hi everyone!

Well the Virgin Holiday reservation # turned out not to be a problem at all in the end!
I rang at exactly 12pm and got thru to a CM at wdw-dine in less than one minute.. she took some other details from me & within minutes had my Disney Hotel reservation # :thumbsup2
ADRs are all done now for first ten days! problem with the booking system for CRT today so going to ring again later... and Mama Melroses's was fully booked for 17/07 (?!) .. so i made a quick decision and decided to try Sanaa at the new DVC AKL! :goodvibes
otherwise all ADRs were first choice.. including Le Cellier, Crystal Palace & Akershus Banquet - no problems booking for a party of eight either :)

The CM also asked if we were celebrating anything during the vacation .. and she made a note that it was DBF's niece's first trip?! wondering if they'll be any magic at the restaurants for her ? :wizard:

That's fantastic, I didn't realise they would be able to find your reservation number for you.

we got cupcakes decorated at alot of places during our honeymoon trip so hopefully she will get some treats

:)

it's about 11 digits long! but i just rang back to book CRT and quoted the number & the CM found reservation again.

No problems booking CRT on the day we wanted too .. i almost fainted tho when she said how much the total was - 7 adults and 1 child for dinner... :scared1: never mind, we're having dinner in the castle!! princess:

Hope you have the most wonderful time. You've been my guinea pig as I will be making ours in about 10 days time and only have my Virgin holiday reference number to go on so now I know it will be fine. Iwasn't worried until I started reading all the problems with the new reservation system.

:)

I rang back (again!) today to book days 11 & 12 of the trip, had no problem at all! i booked days 1-10 yesterday (following the 90 + 10 rule), but after reading another thread on here, I thought I'd try again.. and no problem!
we now have spoodles dinner on 19th, then Cape May Cafe for dinner on 20th, followed by an Illuminations Speciality Cruise.. never done one before! big suprise for the rest of the party ;)

the automated message at the start says "if you are making reservations from may 26th thru july 20th" .. but the july date moves on each day :)

which is great because it means I can book the whole 14 days of ADRs over the Easter weekend, and not have to ring wdw while at work.. except for golf tee times for the men, those have to be exactly 90 days before!

having such a disney-filled weekend of planning! :wizard:

OOh OOh OOh, getting a bit over excited :rolleyes1

Can I just ask, I will be booking my ADR's in a few weeks and have been worried about CRT as we like to do it on our last night there (day 14) I thought I would have to wait until 90 days from that date to phone back and book, do I not have to do this??? Doing it the way you have done it, I would phone my 90 days out from my check in date, then when could I ring back to do CRT on day 14????

Any help would be gratefully received

Hi tracipierce..

yup I had thought the same as you about days 11 -14 .. but following the wdw-dine automated message, it says that guests checking in to a disney resort within ninety days can book for their entire vacation ...
before this it says "between may 26th and july XX" (eg today it's july 22nd).
so once you've rang on 90 Days for your first 10/11 days, i would ring back in a couple of days, as soon as you CRT date is the 'to' date on that automated message!

I just got off the phone from them (again.. it's been bout 6 times this weekend!) and got our final ADR at Brown Derby including the Fantasmic dinner package for July 21st :cheer2:

Happy Planning!

:thanks:

:yay: thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly, I'm soooo happy, I was getting worried about CRT being booked up before I could get back to them, so this is fantastic news :yay:

I am new here, so please excuse my ignorance, but can I ask for some clarification. I am staying (just) off property at the Sheraton Vistana. Will I still be able to make ADR's at 90 days as I won't have a disney reservation number?

I am presuming that ADR's are available to anyone at the 90 day mark, not just disney resort guests? I hope this is the case - can someone clarify?

Yes, at 90 days anyone can make an ADR, regardless of where you're staying. However what you can't make use of is the 90+10. That means that you can only make ADRs one day at a time. So you phone for your first days ADRs at 90 days out, then you would have to call back the following day for an ADR for the second day of your trip.

Does this make sense? Apologies if I haven't explained it very well.
