Virgin holiday homes

We've booked a holiday through Virgin Holidays - departing 22nd August. The 2003 brochure stated the holiday homes (4 bedroom) were within a 15 minute drive of WDW. The 2004 brochure however states they are now to the West of WDW, near US27, which is a 25 minute drive to WDW.
Does anyone know where the houses are for this year as I would like to find out more info about shops & restaurants etc before we go.

We are also booked with Virgin and have been told to go their management office on Davenport Lake Blvd to get allocated our house. So yes, it is likely to be in the US 27 area & it could be on anyone of the local residential parks, ie, Davenport Lakes, Clear Creek, Palms etc etc.

There is no way you will know until you actually get to the office on your arrival.

So yes there is a good chance you will be down on the US 27

us 27 is not 25 mins from Disney .If your home is near the junction with the 192 its more like 15 -if you're nearer the I-4 end use that its just as quick .It is only a short drive to the 192 and all its restaurants and I Drive can be done in about 15 .

The new Virgin Office is just about half a mile down US 27 from 192. It's on your left just past the gas station.

That office is only about 10 minutes from WDW.

As Jannyans says, our place at Hampton Lakes (which is another three miles down US 27), roughly half way between 192 and I4 is about 12 minutes away and further south still is the same or less using I-4 or the "shortcut" through Champions Gate.

It certainly isn't 25 minutes. Even down at Ridgewood Lakes and Southern Dunes you can still be in WDW in under 20 minutes!

So don't worry about being far away from WDW, you aren't!

Hi guys, Recently got back from a Virgin Villa, we stayed at Florida Pines, which was just down from the Virgin office...and very nice too.

MalcolmC could you tell me what, where this shortcut through Champions Gate is please ??

If you go down US27 to Walgreens drugstore (a bout 2 miles from Florida Pines, if that) and turn left onto CR 54, then carry on to ChampionsGate Blvd. You can't go any further at the moment anyway, the road is closed.

Follow ChampionsGate Blvd through Champions Gate, past Publix and MacDonalds until you go under I-4. As soon as you go under I-4 turn left up the on ramp and you're on I-4 north at junction 58. Come off in 6 miles at exit 64 for WDW or carry on for Universal, Seaworld etc.

It saves going down to Baseball City (Jct 55) and back up again, plus you can pick up shopping as you pass Publix each time!
