Just checked out the films on the Virgin Atlantic site and was disappointed to see only one film suitable for under 12s (U certificate). I seem to remember that this was the case when we flew in 2001 as well.

Don't you think that Virgin should cater more for the younger kids on the flight, especially going to a destination like Orlando where there is likely to be a larger proportion of young kids?

I know there is a V.Tots channel; but it would be nice for the kids to have more than one film to watch thoughout the 9 hour flight!

I hope the films change again before August for the adults too - the choice isn't very inspiring :)

I raised this point with NorthWest in 2001. They had no seatback TVs and we were sat right in front of the large screen. So basically my 5 yo DD was forced to watch 'Tomb Raider' on one flight and 'Mummy Returns' on the other  I ended up putting a blanket over her head she was so scared by 'Mummy', luckily she fell asleep. :( NWA said - they 'can't please everyone !'

Not impressed !

We are flying with United Airlines, and I was not all that pleased with their films - Daredevil, Shanghai Knights, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind to name a few - nothing that will really appeal to my DS's - or me for that matter!! ;)

Hi Goofy,

Virgin change their films in both directions every month,, so with a bit of luck you'll get something decent in August!

Going from Manchester you should get your own seat back tv plus Nintendo games to play.

You will have a choice of films to choose from but you will need to listen out for when the movies start. They all start at the same time and run together, once the longest film has finished playing, they all start again so you get to watch 2 or 3 on your trip over.

Dont count on the games console, weve just flown with Virgin from gatwick and we didnt have them on the flight there or back!, and we had a really newish plane!.

The only kids movie on our flight was treasure planet, and I cant for the life of me think what the name of the other one coming back was.

I wasnt too impressed with the selection for adults either, the only half decent film was Daredevil, pretty pants really.
