Hey. Quick question for you. I've just noticed there are extra leg room seats that you can purchase at checkin in economy, but there's no reference to costs. Has anyone been offered these or have any more details? I'm assuming that they're emergency exit seats?

Need to book flights soon as def decided to go in march!!!!!

Thanks so much

We were given extra legroom seats on our outbound journey in July. It's the first time we were allowed to sit here as dd was never old enough. Even better they were given free of charge. Not sure if i would pay extra for them but never refuse a freebie.

The extra legroom seats are not the exit rows. They are rows towards the rear of economy that will have 34" legroom and they will be sold at the airport like the exit rows. Not sure of the cost though.

The extra leg room seats are £30 pp per sector.

The emergency exit seats are £50 for east coast flights and £75 for west coast flights.

We were given exit seats then, not extra legroom seats.

Interesting. I guess if people don't buy them they will give them out for free?

If you check in late and they are the only seats left they will allocate them to you with no fee. Otherwise even if the flight is only half full and there is pleanty of room they will still charge. The problem is you don't know how full the flight is untill your on it!

To me its worth it. I am guartneed a seat with extra leg room. Others take a chance and hope to be able to move into one when the seatbelt light go's off.

Personally I think I'd be annoyed if I paid and then someone else got it free! Hardly fair on anyone

When we flew in July with virgin we were a party of 15 and three of the allocated seats were emergency exit seats, we were the only ones in the group that were able to sit there. (others had kids that were too young) They were not asked for and we were one of the first to check(6.30am) in because we wanted to sit together.
