The term E ticket is a bit misleading really, as it does not have to mean that the ticket is sent to you electronically.
What it means is the ticket is stored in the Airlines computer, all they do is send you a reciept showing the ticket numbers.
If you book via
virgin atlantic, they will email this too you, VH send you a copy in the post along with the rest of your vouchers 2 weeks or so before you go.
If you loose the eticket- or were unable to print a copy, the ticket desk can simply print you another copy of the reciept at the airport. With the old paper tickets this was a lot more hassle as the old tickets had to be canclled etc and a fee charged.
