We received our tickets today for our Virgin holiday on August 10th. At the bottom of the flight tickets it says Endorsements, non ref changes GBP80.00. Does anybody know what this means? Do we have to pay an extra £80 at the airport. Would appreciate any help.

We had that on the bottom of ours that we received today, so i'm interested to hear peoples comments too.

I had the same on my ticket, we flew on 9th July (back yesterday boo hoo). We were not charged anything extra.:)

Thank you for your reply. It is reassuring to know that we won't have to pay even more money to Virgin.

I am guessing here that it means if you make changes to the flights there is a £80 non refundable fee.

Claire ;)

Doesn't it say non ref/changes GBP80.00. ?(with the / in the middle)

At a guess It means none refundable ticket, any changes will cost £80

This means ticket is non refundable and changes are £80. Be thankfull you get E Tickets these days, I once lost a paper ticket and in those days the fee was £50. Issuing a new ticket counted as a "change" - a very expensive piece of paper!

If EvertonCJ recieved tickets thru post they are regular paper tickets, not e-tickets. Thought Virgin holidays had stopped sending them out but maybe not.

As far as I am aware Virgin no longer do paper tickets. VH issue E tickets via the mail- its just a piece of paper stating the ticket number names and class etc. - The old flight coupons in a booklet are a thing of the past!

I beleive from June this year IATA demanded that all E tickets were phased out except where there are multiple airlines involved.

I thought I had heard they were stopping old tickets, e-tickets only. Never considered an e-ticket via post, contradiction in terms e-ticket via snail mail, weird:goodvibes

Hi, Just thought I would let everyone know we made changes to our E-ticket we asked to go out on the earlier flight that same day and we got charged £32p.p. kids included grand total of £128 just to get extra couple of hours !!!!!
Moral of story always make sure you have exactly what you want before you book right down to the last detail as it is costly if you dont.
If you do not have printer they will then post your e-ticket to you.

The term E ticket is a bit misleading really, as it does not have to mean that the ticket is sent to you electronically.

What it means is the ticket is stored in the Airlines computer, all they do is send you a reciept showing the ticket numbers.

If you book via virgin atlantic, they will email this too you, VH send you a copy in the post along with the rest of your vouchers 2 weeks or so before you go.

If you loose the eticket- or were unable to print a copy, the ticket desk can simply print you another copy of the reciept at the airport. With the old paper tickets this was a lot more hassle as the old tickets had to be canclled etc and a fee charged.

So if you book direct with VA do they send out a reciept of your e ticket also?

thanks

I always bookd direct on VA website, never been sent anything thru the post, e-tickets always come via email and print off, never seen an option for posting.

My VA tickets were just emailed to me.
