I was interested in booking this for one of our upcoming trips but just had a couple of questions!

1. What is the dress code? Do you ahve to be really smart?
2. How far is it from the gate? We have elderly people coming with us and they may need a bit of time to get don to the gate?
3. How do i book?

Does anyone have any pictures?

1. You don't have to be really smart. We wear casual vacation clothes - cropped trousers and Birkies for me...
2. It's not that much further to the gate - it's located on the upper level of the terminal so a little walk down a short corridor, down the escalator and straight ahead thro' the doors to whichever gate. Tell the VA receptionist when you check into the Clubhouse that you might need extra time and she'll let you know well before the last call...
3. Don't know how you book it tho' - I'll ask my DD as she doesn't fly UC but always uses the Clubhouse...

I can only find one pic...

Officially it cant be booked - I say officially as people do seem to get in without the reasons for which you get automatic entrance, which are:

having an UC ticket or being a gold card flying club member.

From what I've seen and read it seems you can book the V-Lounge which is the Virgin Holidays lounge, or you can try the Clubhouse on the day to see if you can purchase an admittance ticket. Sometimes people are lucky, sometimes they're not.

We have booked via Virgin Holidays and used the clubhouse last month - even though we had booked flight only through VA. There are a few others on here who have as well.

If you have booked through VH you can book the Clubhouse via the VH website - if not give them a ring and they'll check availability.

Thanks all!

I phoned last night and booked all 6 of us to go on the 1st May. We found a number on VA's website and booked that way.

Im really looking forward to this now! Only i know about it so its a surprise for everyone else.

I stand corrected - I didnt know this could be done, it didnt used to be available like that.

I like it though - means even when we're not flying Virgin we can now use the lounge :)

Use of Clubhouse by non UC/Gold passengers was introduced in 2002 and we've been using it ever since. The current cost is £35 per head for Gatwick (£65 for the super swish Heathrow Clubhouse). It's worth knowing that, regardless of whether you've booked flights with Virgin Atlantic or Virgin Holiday, it's the Holidays arm which handles the bookings for the Clubhouse.
