Is it possible to upgrade to PE on just one leg of the flight with Virgin like BA?

Thanks

Yes it is, I rang last month to ask how much for us but it was about £750 for 3 of us just for return leg. Didn't bother as I sleep 5 hours out of the 7 anyway.

Gosh, you are lucky! What is your secret?

Both me and DW are the same. Head back and sleep. DS struggles a bit but he still usually gets 2-3 hours. We can sleep anywhere. I am just going to bed now and I will put money on me falling asleep within 90-120 seconds of my head hitting pillow. At Xmas I was not feeling great I just slept in the shows in Seaworld. It is lucky I guess, thast why I have never been bothered with upgrading from economy it would be wasted on us.:)

Thanks for the info.

I also have another question:

Is it still possible to upgrade if you book through another company rather then Virgin direct?

You may have to book with your travel agent (i.e if you book with Virgin holidays, you have to upgrade with Virgin holidays)
Can you "manage your bookings" on the Virgin Atlantic web site?
If so just under the days left to your next flight can come up a picture with "upgrade to XXXXX for just £9,000,000" and then you can do it direct with VA.

Other option is to upgrade at the airport but that is costly.

I haven't booked the flight yet, I will probably be booking it through Expedia as i'm flying to San Francisco but i'm also spending a couple of days in LA so need to fly from SF to LA and I can't do this through VA.

Its just that i'm flying back overnight and would like a bit more leg room.

No, you can't book LON-SFO, SFO-LAX, LAX-LON all one itinerary through Virgin Atlantic. But you could compare the prices of booking that whole itinerary through Expedia, with booking the LON-SFO and LAX-LON through Virgin Atlantic and then just SFO-LAX through Expedia (as a one way ticket). Booking all flights on one itinerary (through Expedia) might well be cheaper, but not always - so it may be worth pricing both options...

You can also upgrade onboard, its about 300 pounds per person from economy to pe. :)
