We have booked our Orlando holiday with Jetsave flying with Virgin, can we still use the pre booking seats or on-line check in facilities, we can do nothing at the present time as we do not have any Virgin ticket references,

Any advise?

Hi

We weren't able to access anything to do with online management until 1 week before we were due to fly when we booked via a Travel Agent. Then we were only allowed to use online checkin for the outbound flight not the inbound :confused3
I have known people who have not been able to access the online thing at all when booking with Jestave, they have had to ring virgin direct and request seats, meals etc.

Good Luck

We can't access anything online either (despite being assured by the TA that we would be able to  ). The TA has requested seats/meals by phone for us and they 'hope' we will be able to check in online - as apparently they've never had a customer who's wanted to do this before :confused3

I'm assuming that when we are ticketed we will be able to use the locator on the tickets for our individual booking

I booked a Virgin flight with Expedia about a week ago. I went back on to the Expedia website the other day to check some details and noticed that they'd added Virgin's e-ticket confirmation number to our invoice (it wasn't there at the time I booked). Tried this number out on the Virgin website and it accepted it and let me select my seats and everything.

I'm considering booking with thomas cook signature so i presume it will be the same situation. I'm not all that bothered about being able to book my seats online etc. as long as i can do online check in for the outbound trip

Hi,
You need a booking reference number to access your flight details here's the info. from the VA website:

Q What is a booking reference number?
A This is also known as Record Locator (or recloc), PNR Code, confirmation number or reference number. It can usually be found on your tickets, confirmation or travel documentation.

Virgin Atlantic's booking reference is a six digit alphanumeric combination. Tickets issued by Virgin Atlantic will contain this code in the PNR Code box near the centre of the ticket. E-tickets issued by Virgin Atlantic list this as 'Booking Reference'.

We also accept booking reference number issued by most travel agents. These appear as a six digit alphanumeric combination usually listed in your travel documentation, or available from your travel agent upon request.

Hope this helps.

Mick.

I was never able to do any of this when booked with Jetsave, despite a number of phone calls to VA. In the end had a lovely email from VA explaining that as the ta had made a block booking, if I could get into mine, I would be able to access all the others too. They said this is something they're working on, so maybe by now (only 6 months later) you can. You can get your Virgin ref quite easily by phoning them, aND THEN YOU COULD TRY. :sunny:

Chris we are flying with Jetsave this year ( their child price was better than VA) & have had no problems, although we did have to request our Travel Agent to realise the booking details as VA had the booking but no names etc. We have pre-booked our seats & I have also spoken with VA's Special Needs dept as DW have several disabilities after her recent illness-all with no problems.
HTH SD :thumbsup2
