Con: pay for even the first bag.
Pro: you'll never want to be on another low-cost airline again.
They have mood lighting on the plane. Their lights, instead of being flat white/yellow, cycle through blue, pink, and purple. This is lovely. It took a really obnoxious wait on an airplane (as security searched every plane twice to find some lady who had gotten through security with something naughty), and then waiting for another "window" to open for taking off, and made it into a calm, soothing time, with no one getting angry.
They have the ability to message people in other seats, using the seatback TV/monitor. This is fun, because if you're with a buddy, you can gossip about neighbors, LOL. They have a ton of music in their system; I programmed my music list to be all Madonna while taking VA to San Diego for Madonna's concert.
Their seats are comfy. I mean, even I noticed, and I don't notice seat comfort, since I'm only 5'3" with short legs. Airline seats don't bug me, so the fact that these were comfier than usual was a big deal to notice.
The airplane interior is beautiful.
On the trip for Madonna, we were delayed by weather in SF (where we had a flight number change (without a plane change, but we all had to get off then back on again, weird)), and before they knew it would be a solid wait, they amused us by having David Bowie Day, where they played his music at the gate and had a trivia contest.
Oh, so if you hate David Bowie you might want to bring headphones, just in case they do that again.
Now...to Florida, I think they only go into Fort Lauderdale. For now. But if you don't mind that, or are going somewhere other than FL, they are a great choice!
IMO. I'd fly them all the time if I could. To me and my husband, they are WORTH the baggage fees.
