Hi guys n gals :)

Does anyone know how to use VA airmiles? i've been on their site but cannot for the life of me find any info :confused3 I know i sound thick but i don't even know how to find out how many miles i have accumulated:confused3 Can i use them as a part payment? or for an up-grade or what?:confused3

I have never used any airmiles before (not that it's obvious eh?:rotfl2: ) so any help would be VERY welcome, thanks :goodvibes

Hey Audrey!

First things first - is your Flying Club membership registered online? If so, you will have a user name and password and you need to input that before you'll be ale to experiment with using your miles. If not, then click on the "what is the flying club" link and you'll then be able to register. Once you've registered, you can find your balance and take it from there... :goodvibes

PS: The info on miles is all in the Flying Club link at the left hand side of VA's home page...

OK first things first you need to register on the site. On the left hand side there is a section called Flying Club and this is where you want to go. On the right hand side under the log in box there is a register now box you will need to click to go to the correct area. Once registered and logged in then you can see your total number of airmiles on the right hand side in the upper box.
You can use your miles in a number of ways. These are explained a bit more in the Spending miles section. A roundtrip to Orlando costs 40000 miles. You can also do Miles plus money where you spend 2000 miles and get a reduced price ticket (time of year depends on the reduction). For 20,000 points you can get a Companion fare which means you get a free fare when someone purchases a full price fare. Sometimes this works out cheaper but when I looked at it for October due to the taxes still needing to be paid on both flights it worked out cheaper for 2 Miles plus flights. Upgrades can also be purchased which are 20,000 miles for economy to premium 40,000 miles for premium to upper class or 60,000 for economy to upper class but these are each way per person. You can use your miles on hotels, car hire, partner airlines etc as well but it will tell you on the Spending your miles section of the website

Thanks for the prompt replies karen and Sarah :thumbsup2
