Virgin Airbus 300 help needed..

I am booked for the 1st November and have just booked my seats and discovered our plane is an airbus we normally travel on a jumbo. Does anyone know if the airbus is new and will have new type seats, or are they the old style seats?
I am booked in economy but am toying with the idea of upgrading to premium economy, the thought of 9 hours of no room scares me.

Any ideas?

From what I have heard they are newer planes and have more up to day facilities.The seat conf i is 2-4-2 and believe the leg room is 31 the same as jumbo.I flew on on an a340 in 1998 and it was a lovely plane. Heard good reviews but like you I like the jumbos but these look very nice and are huuuuuuge in length.

They will be brand new planes and therefore have the new style seats and a brand new IFE system

If your flying with VA then you will ahve a flight number like VS071 if you click on this then it will tell you which type of plane your flying on.
