Virgin 2012 Preview Brochure is out today

Hi everyone,

So the 2012 VH preview brochure is out today and I've just called to get a couple of quotes

We are going to be cruising for 7 days at the begining of our May 2012 trip but I was curious to see what prices VH would offer for a package holiday with an 'independent stay' at the beginning of the trip

Not all WDW hotels are listed yet but here is what I was quoted

Flying from Gatwick on Friday May 11th 2012 (7 night cruise starts on the 12th of May so we would probably stay at the port)
Checking into the Beach Club on the 19th for 6 nights (flying home on the 25th) = £3163.50 for two adults

The other option we looked at was POR and that came in at £2412.90

Both prices include a car with fully inclusive insurance but not tickets/dining etc

There doesn't seem to be any early booking incentives with the exception of buy two adult 2 week tickets and get a child ticket free (no good to us)

What do you all think?

I think I should probably wait and price up DIY

If you are happy with the price then you should book

Out of interest, I have priced up two weeks at Port Orleans.

For August 2011 from Manchester for 2A 1 T its 5978 with Economy flights and for Augusy 2012 its 4891. There is only 1 way with VH and VA prices and that's upwards.

Only thing for me, is that my DS now wants to go to the far east in 2012, as he's feed up going to the US When I was his age, I'd only ever been to Flamborough Head in a caravan, Kids!!!

I once booked from the preview brochure and then when the full one came out there were free child places available. Luckily the person I spoke to at their call centre let me have a free child place added after the booking which he shouldn't really have done.

I personally wouldn't book from this brochure again especially as they may do free dining again in 2012 and this will be availble later on.

I think I am going to hold off until the full brochure is released in April (I think that's when it comes out )

Last year they announced free dining for May and I am hoping they will do the same

I have everything crossed for free dining or a good percentage off.Flights prices are killing me April, its so far away, i cant wait that long

Me either! I was gutted when I found out the preview didn't cover upto December! But I am thinking to myself that if I can't book and no one else can either!
As for free DDP I'm not even considering that as last offer ended for stays upto end Nov i think, so no good to me anyway. I'm just hoping they still have the free child Disney ticket offer on in the main brochure!

do you have to book a package to get these tickets on the free child offer or will they do it with a fly drive or hotel only booking?
