OMG Virgin just quoted me £1,960 for 1 adult 1 child in May 2011 staying in a budget hotel on I drive for 2 weeks... thats £700 MORE than what im paying for this years holiday. ( Same hotel )

So going to have to look at DIY or Spain !!! but then the Euros not great, and that will still be fairly expensive!

Better make sure with the " old style" allowance on lugguage, with Virgin. that we really enjoy this holiday.... and shopping.

Although we've always gone in school holidays we've taken DDs out of school for the last few days of term each time so have always avoided having to pay premium prices. Now I'm working in a school I won't be able to do this any more (I got away with it at Christmas because I had already booked before I got the job) so these are the sort of prices I will be looking at from now on and no, it's not pretty reading.

We have quite a few miles ~ I will have to look into this miles+money lark.

I don't get their pricing at the moment. We're going to Vegas in April 7 nights VA from Gatwick staying at the Bellagio. We have booked with Hayes and Jarvis as they were £500 cheaper than booking with VH and that was taking into account our 10% VH discount. How can another company be that much cheaper than going direct to Virgin I am shopping around from now on but having said that if prices are that high we may well give it a miss until DS finishes school in a couple of years.

Wow, this does all sound very depressing. Me thinks we might be seeing a few more LGMHs at DLP if things keep up like this! At least DLP will provide some Disney-relief, if only to tide everyone over until prices return to 'normal'.

We are looking for next year,but will be booking it all seperately..no package for us,I believe VH prices are shocking at the moment.

This years will probably be our last trip until 2013, as we want to see the new Fantasyland when completed then, so we have planned a DCL Med cruise next year, and Vegas / LA in 2012 . . . I'm now dreading to think how much the price will have risen by then!! I'M DEPRESSED!!!!

OMG! That totally sucks. Well, soon they will have to bring the prices back down because all everyone will be able to afford is a weekend camping in the back garden!

I don't consider DLRP cheap - even without price hikes.

I don't like the idea that lots of people here might not be going for a while. Besides, who are the rest of us going to call on for moral support in an ADR crisis or whatever new online system they may decide to introduce in the near future?

ETA: Don't you get good deals on group bookings? Maybe we should all start getting to know each other a little better .......!

I'm really hoping we'll be able to go to WDW for our honeymoon after a fantastic trip introducing DBF to Disneyland Paris a couple of weeks ago. As he teaches we're going to have to go in August and I am not looking forward to pricing this up! Also trying to convince myself it won't rain the WHOLE time it will still be magical for us, but I want it to be perfect i guess! Save savety save save. Looks like Marathon trip Jan 2011 is def off
