This Feburary, I'm hosting a Meet in Orlando for Back To The Future Fans.

One of the features of the Fan Meet was a possible Behind The Scenes Tour of The Studios and BTTF The Ride.

As of now, there isn't a large number that is joining us, so I'm looking at the regular VIP Tour, but if I'm able to gather more people, there may be a possiblity of the Exclusive VIP Tour.

I was wondering if anybody here has gone on either of the USF VIP tours, or has any inforamtion about them.

What are they like? How long do they take? How many people to the whole group? How much Behind The Scenes exposure do we get of the rides, especially BTTF? Does the regular VIP tour do every ride? If not, what are the chances that we could persuade the guide to specifically do BTTF?

Also, is there any kind of agreement where my group can get exclusive front-of-the-line, reboarding access to BTTF?

Next year the Fan Meet may be bigger. Is there somebody at Universal Orlando I can speak to that can help organize a special tour and activities for the BTTF fans?

And finally, if there is anybody who is interested in joining us, either just at USF, or with any of the other days activities, let me know.

Thank you for any replys.

Hi, Doc:

I took the VIP tour for Islands of Adventure back in 2000. It was beyond incredible, it was AWESOME! I wish I could link you to the trip report I wrote, but with the search function being down it's almost impossible to find.

As our resident expert, Notatourist will tell you, VIP is the only true FOTL. We, my son and I, were in a group of 5 and when I say we were treated like VIPs, we had several people at the park ask us WHO we were! I played it off like I was a REAL somebody...

The tour was 5 hours long with a break for lunch. We had the most incredible tour guide, Brad, who was a complete encyclopedia of all things Universal and treated us to every little tidbit of knowledge and trivia in his wide array of expertise. He was at our beck and call and even directed the CMs on how to treat us.

I would love to take the Universal tour, also, and am contemplating that for my next trip.

Sure wish I could join you Doc, but February is :( not in my itinerary for USF trips!

Any more questions, let me know!

Doc, there is nothing like a VIP tour at Universal. In your tour, you get not only "No Line" access, you get a guide who is extremely informative on how the park works, and the stories behind the movies and the rides. The regular tour takes 5 hours, the exclusive takes eight hours. 15 people is the limit in the group, so if you have 15 do the exclusive. Yes, the regular tour covers every ride in the park. Yes, you will see BTTF.

[So, you want to ride it twice? Talk to the guide.

I would start with VIP tours. They can help with your plans. Call them at 407-363-8295. They will be VERY happy to help you there.

Thank you for the information.

I was wishing we could do the Excusive VIP tour, but, from what you two responed, it seems that the regular VIP tour is just as good.

I have a couple more qesutions though.

I assume this was the non-exclusive VIP Tour. Is that the normal size of a regular VIP tour group?

Our group is going to have from five to eight people(possibly more), so is there a chance we might have the tour giude all for ourselves?

So, you want to ride it twice?

Yeah, twice. Three times, four time, five times... it's all good :D

Seeing we're a BTTF fan group, do you think our guide would allow that?

What does the tour itself consiste of? Do they show you around the park, and give you information? Or do they also take you behind the scenes and show you how the studios and rides work?

I sure hope we get an informed guide, seeing as how I posses a wealth of USF info. ;) Maybe they'll hire me.

Thanks again for all the info.

If you are an exclusive, yes. And 15 is the max for both kinds of tours.

And they do both-they show you around the park, give you info and you ride the rides too.

Thanks again for all the info.
