VIP Tour Guide Recommendations

Good question. We had a park reservation for AK(started tour there), went to DHS and then MK. We were in MK at 1:00 when we got the BG. We didn't enter through the main gate at any park, but our bands were scanned at some point with an IPad type of device. I don't remember where. I don't think it was AK. Maybe it was DHS after he had secured our park reservation there? That actually would make sense.

Early in the tour we were saying how we were going to try for ROTR later in the week. The guide asked for our email addresses (two families, so two email addresses) and then said he was going to "try something." I had no idea what he was doing.

Later he told us he got us all park reservations at DHS. I'm assuming that was what he needed the addresses for.
I would love to know who your guide was so we can make a request! I already have one recommendation but I'm sure individual availability varies quite a bit, and popular guides are probably requested regularly.

You had scanned into AK but not HS, correct? Just clarifying because we have a tour planned next week!
To better your chances for RoTR, get park reservations for HS for you and your group tryIng for the 7am BG. The park reservations do not matter for the tour if you are park hopping, they can go where ever they want to take you. The VIP desk will make that reservation for you and all guests having a My Disney account.

Our guide's name was Jimmy.

We had Homer and loved him!
Realize this is an old thread, but we absolutely loved Homer! Due to different circumstances, we’ve done several VIP Tours, and recently had the pleasure of a tour with Homer. He was by far our favorite. I would recommend him in a hot minute!

Looking for current tour guide recommendations! Booking next week for mid-November, with make-up of group being my 2 sons and a girlfriend (all in their early 30s) plus my niece and three friends (all in their early 20s.)

Doing mostly headliners so want someone high energy, but also with a LOT of WDW park knowledge. Any recommendations that fit that bill for this age group?

Thanks so much!

We had Kirk E in July. He was great. Your description sounds just like what we were looking for, and Kirk absolutely delivered. Our age group is a bit younger (our kids range from 18-25) but it sounds like we had the same plan as you.

For a young, high-energy guide particularly suitable for a youngish tour group, I recommend Holly.
