We are lucky enough to be traveling with family in a few weeks, and they really wanted to do a VIP Tour. They offered to cover the cost of it so who was I to refuse? :confused3 Anyway, the only catch is that its up to me to plan the day. We are focusing on the MK, we have 2 kids - 5 and 7, and I'd love to get some opinions on how much we can get done that day. We are going on a MK-most recommended day (MNSSHP night). We are going to the MK another day and planning to start in Adventureland/Frontierland so I figured we would start in Tomorrowland on the VIP day.

Buzz SpaceRanger Spin
Monsters Inc Laugh Floor
Astro Orbiter
Indy Speedway
Dumbo
Little Mermaid
Meet Ariel in her Grotto
Mine Train
Teacups
Philharmagic
Haunted Mansion
Big Thunder
Splash Mtn
Pirates

We have 6 hours and will need to have lunch as well. We have FP+ for the parade this day so I was hoping to do this between 9 and 3 and then the tour would be over and we would go to the parade and meet Tinkerbell after that (have a FP+ for that too). I skipped Space Mtn, but if the guide agrees to taking my 7 year old (not sure if that's allowed) we might let her do that since none of the adults in our group want to do it.

Also, we have a FP+ for Belle, A&E, PP on the other day, so I don't have them on this list, but I would also consider doing PP as part of the tour if time permits.

Thanks for your opinions!!

You will be able to get all of that and much more done. I personally would skip Philharmagic and Laugh Floor, they are a poor use of time and can easily be done on your own on the other day. I would concentrate on everything you want to do that has FP+ that is not a show. It is a great opportunity to experience attractions multiple times which is very nice when you or your children like something.

We usually book for 10 hours and start around noon, so a busier atmosphere. In that time we do all 4 parks headliners some things like TSMM and TT multiple times. Staying in one park and starting in the morning you will be able to accomplish a lot. I would do QS for lunch to max. your time. The guides have been on attractions with our children so I don't see Space as a problem.

Thank you so much! I really just don't have a good sense for how long some of these things take. We might hop to another park in the afternoon if we do everything we want to do at MK. Definitely planning on QS for lunch, although I am secretly hoping the guide can magically get us into BoG! ;-) I don't want to go too much past the 6 hour minimum to be respectful of my family that is footing the bill and I think they will honestly be happy to stay in one place. But if we do decide to go elsewhere, do they take you into a side entrance near the rides you want to do to save time? I think I read that somewhere but can't remember too well...thanks!

Yes, you typically drive behind the parks and the guide will park near the attraction you are going to. In MK they usually take us in through the CM entrance near Buzz and then we typically just walk that park as we are doing many more attractions that are closer together in MK. Not guaranteed, but we have had no problems getting into BOG for LUNCH with the guide.

I agree with everything baler31 mentioned. I few other suggestions - I wouldn't do Astro Orbiter on your VIP day. They aren't going to be able to get you front-of-line access to that ride (no FP+), so it's a waste of the guides time to stand in line for it. If you really want to do it, do it on your non-VIP day. I, too, would do Monsters Inc. and Philharmagic on your non-VIP day. If you think you are going to park hop on the VIP day after the tour, I would save your FP+ for the second park. Do Tink with the guide and ask if they can put you in the VIP area for the parade at 3 pm.
