VIP guide recommendations?

Hi everyone:

We are visiting in the first week in October and are looking to find a great VIP guide to request for our visit. While I know there are no guarantees that the VIP guide that I request will be available, I would like to put in a request for one that others have enjoyed spending the day with.

Can anyone recommend a Disneyland VIP guide?

Not sure if she’s still there but we had a lovely girl by the name of Courtney a few years ago and she was incredible. Super friendly and knowledgeable.

What do you want in a guide? Alexx is great with kids, lots of knowledge. We love Aaron, he is fun, very into Disney, high scorer and shares knowledge on Buzz and Toy Story. Wyatt is great, but on the quiet side. DJ is very upbeat, great Disney knowledge. Estaban is great, very outgoing, very into his knowledge. Abby is one of my favorite guides. She is professional and fun, but I don't know if she is doing new guest tours right now.

I have a lot of friends who do tours and we all have different favorite guides because we have different preferences for guides. What do YOU want in a guide?

I tip $300

Yes, I generally tip $200-250.

Used to be the case but policy changed a few years back I believe to allow them to accept tips.

VIP guides have always been able to. (Been doing tours for at least 12 years, and it has always been good.) Guest relations (wear same uniform) cannot.

Our favorite guide is John. A little older, has tons of experience and stories, good sense of humor. We typically do multiple day tours and tip $20 pp, per day. We also invite our guides to enjoy meals and snacks with us.

Nope. And to be honest, even when they were able to (prior to 2014) many found it wasn't worht it because it had to be done while you were paying $600 an hour for the guide.
