Hi I have got the Thomas cook brochure and in it it says (November 2005-2006)

"from summer 2006 when staying at Disney's Hotel New York or Disneyland Hotel you will receive a VIP fast pass"

Has anyone heard this?If its true It does sound interesting, I wonder why they are introducing it, maybe they are having trouble filling up the hotels.

Though would think it would make Castle Club a less appealing product to some people.

If thats true thats brilliant.

Now I can't choose between the New York or the Disneyland Hotel for a trip in November.

Perhaps its only through the quieter times over winter? Thats going to be a lot of extra VIP fast passes in the park.

I've just emailed the resort to see if they know about this.

great, :thumbsup2 let us know what they say. Thank you.

I read in one of the brochures that if you stop in HNY or the Disneyland Hotel you receive 3 fast passes per day. I just can't remeber which one!! :rotfl2:

If this is confirmed would be good to add it to the HNY FAQ :thumbsup2

If it turns out to be true, I'll add it with pleasure - In Big Capital letters!!! ;)

Having recently stayed at the Hotel New York, I can put you all out of your misery!

On checking in, we recieved a fastpass "voucher" (a lot bigger than a normal FP ticket) that entitled us to ride any fastpass ride once between 2pm and 6pm - I assume this time window is because most FP's traditionally are taken in the early hours of the day and they wish to spread the load a little better.

You get one FP per party member (so, two then for us) and you only get it for the first three days of your stay - despite staying for 5 days, we still only got six between us. I wonder how many you get if you're staying less than three days?

The passes are dated with each having to be used on a certain day, so you can't use them all on the first day, but the name on it is just the name of whoever booked the hotel, so one person could use all the passes of their group if they so wanted.

We didn't realise they were dated until we got back to the hotel on the first night and inspected them closer (arrived at 3:30pm, checked in to our hotel and rushed to the park as it was closing at 8pm and we wanted to get some rides done). This meant we never got to use our first day's passes and had to throw them away. Which is kind of ironic because that afternoon was the busiest we saw the park and was the day we'd have most needed them - in our four hours in the park we probably only got to do five attractions!

But the other two days we used them both times to ride Big Thunder, mainly cause that had the longest queues. All the other FP rides either weren't long waits, or still had normal FP's available.

Thank you for your e-mail regarding Disneyland Resort Paris.

We sincerely apologize for any delay in our response. This is due to the high number of requests we have received.

Until November 9th, 2006, guests staying at the Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Hotel New York receive the Disney Hotel Fastpass. From November 10th, 2006, only guests staying at the Disneyland Hotel will receive the Disney Hotel Fastpass.

With the Disney Hotel Fastpass you will receive 3 complimentary Fastpass per person that you may use whenever you wish during your stay.

Fastpass attractions in the Disneyland Park:

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom: in Adventureland
Space Mountain Mission 2: in Discoveryland
Star Tours: in Discoveryland
Peter Pans Flight: in Fantasyland
Big Thunder Mountain: in Frontierland

We look forward to welcoming you at Disneyland Resort Paris.

Best regards,

Manolo

If the reply I just posted is correct then thats weird I would expect them to offer all hotels the 3 fast pases not remove it from one.

I can't see the reason, but then again the Disneyland Hotel is that much more then the New York, so perhaps they are trying to make it appear a better package.

So if I read all the post s right you get hotel-fast passes and not the real vip. fast passes.
The vip passes are totally free off any restriction.
Just get in the fast pass line, show it to the cast member and you get in without any waiting. You can use the vip as often as you like in any ride or attraction. There are no limits.
If they start to give them to all the room bookings I don`t think anyone will pay the expensive CC rooms ore suites anymore.
The vip passes are one of the main attractions to book such a room.

The fast passes had changed since are last visit in December 05. we then had three passes each however we could use them when ever we wanted them and they did not have restrictions on them.

This is what I thought.
