DL closed at 9 last night, the closest they got to the resort was Euclid just south of Ball at around 10pm. I stopped for gas on Harbor north of Ball last night between 9:30-9:45 and didn't see or hear a thing.
While I don't agree with property crimes, I wouldn't characterize it as a "violent protest" This was shown on local news and I believe it's being miscategorized in that story. I saw a group of people holding signs or holding their hands above their heads slowly walking down the street. There were people arrested for failure to disperse and a few for throwing rocks at the police, who were blocking the street with riot gear. Again, I don't think that's right at all, but when several local stations failed to capture a violent protest and I read things like 17 minors were detained after the officer discharged his weapon in the initial incident yet the officer was not, I do wonder if the Anaheim PD might be overly cautious in documenting this and if most of the people arrested will have the charges dropped.
