If by "smartcar" you mean cars that drive themselves, then yes, we do have them here in the states. They are just not widespread because its really just too clogged here to roll out something like that.

I thought he was talking about "smart cars" which we have had for about 10 years. They have no engine, no emissions, and drive themselves. They run strictly on battery power and magnetism, they never need to be charged. They do however, require magnetoc "tracks" in the highways. California has a 20 mile stretch of highway made just for these cars

Smart Car is a brand name. While the cars you describe may be "smart", they are not Smart Cars (which is a name recognized worldwide since it is used worldwide and soon to be here as well), they are cars made by other car companies and have their own model names.

The Smart Car has been on show here, but is not yet available to purchase. You can, however, reserve it.

You've pulled it totally off topic, but man I've wanted a SmartCar since I saw them while traveling Europe in 1999. I'd get one when they came here if there wasn't such a backorder and high price!

Back on topic, I'm sorry VanillaIceCream. I can't believe people would really say those things to you. It makes me wonder if it's just that they feel annonymous here on the internet, or if they are like that in real life too. Sorry for your bad experiences.

i had a similar problem when I tried to report two after a pirates game. Maybe since we report one and they go back and look they will see the other anyway, who knows. LOL we will probably be the ones to get banned since we were in the same room with them lol

Ok the smart car is really called that. It is made by mercedes. We drove it down to WDW 2 years ago. And clear out restaurants when people came out to see it. The scary thing was while traveling the 175 people in the southern states would actually take their hands of the steering wheel to take a pic. Or vans would open their side doors to take a pic. And even had a cop slow down open his window take out his cell phone and take a pic. We filled up in the States for $8.00
