you do realize you can just buy a tray which automatically yields you 2 complete sets and the mystery chaser right? (I suspect you did buy a whole box). that's not random. only if you buy individual ones.

I found it exciting to NOT know which one we were getting. Personally, I don't plan to purchase a whole tray of them. There's no fun in that to me. I like surprises. Then again, die-hard collectors would probably jump at the chance. I assume these are going to be popping up on ebay, if they haven't already.

I actually did buy them individually. We were trying for the Yeti one and finally towards the end got it! The people in the Villians store in HS were cheering for him to get it and when he finally opened it and it was his beloved YETI I was so happy! So yes-it was random for us.

is it a 'special' price, or the same amount as if you were to but them individually?

I always mess up on the number, but I believe it's 24 in a tray? you get 2 complete sets plus the chaser plus an extra.

it's $9.95 * 24, there is no discount, but you are guaranteed the 2 sets and a chaser.

You can now purchase these in the "Theme Park" area on Disney Store site.

So, as far as purchasing these at WDW so far they have been located at WOD, Once Upon a Toy in DTD and the gift shop at the Contemorary.

Any other locations?

We saw them at World of Disney and MouseGears..... They are adorable but I'm terrified that my kids will get one they don't care for and then get in a really bad mood (my oldest just turned 6 when we were there.) He only really wants the Haunted Mansion one HAHA... So once hubby is employed again (he's in school currently), we will start purchasing to try to get the ones our kids want. Luckily we have 4.5 kids and they are bound to like something (the littler ones aren't nearly as picky)

I got 6 of these on our trip last week, and I ended up getting 2 of the poncho one and 2 of the penny arcade one. I also got the one with the asian looking fish on it - does anyone know what ride or attraction this one is supposed to be? I asked 6 Cms (including at the art of disney store), and no one knew what it was supposed to be. It is driving me crazy!! They are so cute - I was really hoping to get the alien one though.

Nope - they make it very clear there are no refunds or exchanges once you have opened it.

i wouldn't take the 'park series' moniker too seriously. many of them don't have direct connections to the parks.

if you're referring to this one,

i believe his name and design is really just a play on aquarium (aquara mouse). you can see the water line, the (possibly plastic) plant and the gravel at the bottom.

That's it. Oh, okay. Thanks for the info. I could tell that is looked like an aquarium, I just thought it was supposed to represent something from the parks. At least it won't be driving me nuts anymore!
