Vinyl/Records in the park

I’d really like to buy the Pirates vinyl record in the park, is there anywhere that sells this?
Coming from the UK I could buy it online but the shipping is extortionate! Thanks!

If they do sell it, the best place to try would be the shop besides the Pirates ride in New Orleans Square. I bought the Pirates ride soundtrack on CD a few years ago in that shop.

The 20th Century Music shop on Main St may have it or know where you can get it. I've seen the selection of vinyls rotating in there.

If you're going to be here long enough, you could always order it online and have it delivered to your hotel (check hotel policies of course). You'd have the hassle of 'keeping it safe' for your flight home but you'd avoid the shipping to UK.

I’m at the park now. I checked Pieces of Eight (just outside of Pirates), the music store on Main Street and, lastly, Emporium. At each I was told that they used to have them but no one’s seen them in a long time. However, the CM I spoke with at Emporium made a call to Off the Page, a store in DCA. After being on hold for several minutes, we were told that they did have it! Off the Page is next to Animation Academy. Hope this helps and, more to the point, I hope they still have it when you’re here. I’ll try to stop by later and get a pic and check the price.

this is wonderful news! I’ll be there in two weeks so I really hope they do still have them! $21.98 is a fair price considering I’d been looking at paying double with postage included.

I don’t know if they’ll do this for you but you can try to call and order it from them and pick it up when you’re there (that is, pay for it now and pick it up when you visit). I can’t think of any other way to reserve it for you. I don’t know if they’ll get more. Hopefully those weren’t the last ones in stock.

That’s a good idea, I will do that and see what they say. Will keep you updated! Hopefully I can take a nice Christmas present home to my husband, appreciate all of your help!

Just to confirm what others have said (so that you know they're not lying!), I'm from the UK too and was there a month ago. I would have loved one of these too but was umming and aahing because I couldn't work out how to keep it safe in luggage for the flight home. (I have since accumulated some stiff cardboard that I'll take with me to Florida next November, if they've got it there - I guess the shop could also package it up but whether or not it would then fit in my suitcase...). Anyway, it definitely wasn't in the Pirates gift shop in Disneyland but it was in Off the Page which is the Disney Gallery place in DCA. In the bottom of a rack on the left hand side of the shop.

FWIW, Disney will ship purchases for a fee. I’m not sure if they’ll send things internationally but it’s potentially an option. I bought something earlier this week and had them them ship it for $7.95. I presume costs vary based on weight, size, etc.

That's good to know! I normally drive to So Cal so hauling back my 'treasures' isn't a problem. But I do occasionally fly to see my family in the area and do a 'one day' trip. Packing/shipping for $7-10.00 is very reasonable if I see something that's not really 'packable' in a suitcase.

That’s what I paid earlier this week. It may cost more for larger or heavier items. What I shipped was probably under a pound although about the shape and size of a record.
