Villians Sinister Soirée

THANK YOU for posting that the M&M is of importance . Validates the frustration many are feeling due to it being dropped with short notice to the early season party go-er's. I know many would still book the Soiree' even if the M&M was still happening, but did you book it BECAUSE the M&M is no longer offered?

Mix and Mingle (The name of the Castle Show) is still happening. It hasn't been dropped.

I see the Mix and Mingle show is still going on, the only thing missing is the villains going into the audience for meeting. They will still be at the Villains dance party, except for Maleficent and the Evil Queen who will be meeting at Fairytale Hall. Only Frollo won't be around at all. I think that's the summary, it's useful information!

The only think missing is the mixing and the mingling. ;)

Although I think it's no biggie if those characters are still meetable in other areas of the park.

Yes they will still have a villains show on the castle stage, the thing missing is the "mix and mingle" part which is what most people are upset about

$99 for an event with no drinks? :confused3 I'm paying 189 for reserved seating at PFTS but that includes adult beverages! I'd be much more inclined to participate in this if drinks were included. Not sure what that says about me? :rolleyes2

Also I'd assume pay double for an event like MNSSHP if they reduced the number of attendees by half. I think it's overcrowded for what you pay, anyone else agree?

now they mix and mingle with each other...maybe a new title, like Villains On Stage

The dance party actually does sound like it might be more fun.

Mix and Mingle is what happens (or used to happen) after the Castle Show and it has been dropped...all that remains now is Castle Show and that is the creative name they have for it.

I agree with you, 100%. I'd pay double if they cut the number of tickets available by half.

Then again, I'm one of the few that said they'd gladly pay for a FP, if Disney made a system like Universal's off site Express Plus. I'd pay $100 a day per person for an all day FP to every ride. I hate the FP+ system, I'd rather pay or have the old system back.

Just got off the ressie line, and 10/10 is NOT sold out! I booked ressies for 2 adults. I know it is crazy expensive, but for my friend and I the halloween party is a once in a lifetime event, and I just can't resist seeing villians taking over the castle!

Thank you for reporting back.

Thanks for letting us know. DH called this morning and was told that 10/10 and 10/13 were sold out. I'm on hold now :)

No offense to the wildly giddy people dancing about the newest thing but-
OK- Just read this entire post to catch up. I am MAD!!! I am sick of DISNEY right now. We leave in 10 days for a week at WDW and every few days Disney decides they want to change things when they are expecting their guests to plan everything out months in advance.
I read this entire post and people have mentioned that nothing is being lost- they are just adding this premium experience. Fine except that is not true-
Flynn, Snow Prince, Prince Charming, and Aurora's prince it seems will not appear. Some people will argue who cares. I care because I am bringing my one year old daughter dressed as Snow White and my son as Snow White's prince. I wanted the pictures with the princes. Further the wait for Snow White will now probably take the entire party because of the addition of the villains to that line. So how can we see both the Dwarves and Snow White.
Already reeling from the extension of the Frozen thing which might seem like a good thing - but our HS day was planned out for a Sunday already which should have been a low crowd day but since Fireworks are only shown on weekends this will mean more people, but I am locked into ADRs and FP+s and every other hoop Disney can throw my way.
Earlier I had the fiasco with all my FP+ disappearing - <sigh>
I love Disney, have taken my son 3 times in the last 4 years, and had already considered many trips for my little kids. But, within the last few years, Disney has changed. Normally, I am so excited with anticipation for my trip. Right now I just want to get it over with, and we probably won't go back.

Needtoplan, I totally agree with you on both points. It is hard enough planning everything so far in advance and then Disney changes things up last minute. I just don't think our WDW vacations will be as fun anymore. A lot more standing in lines and no possibility of spontaneity. (Is that spelled right?) Maybe I will try DL instead.

needtoplan, was it ever confirmed the princes would appear, or is it just an assumption based on last years event? If they had put it in the schedule that princes will appear then took them out, that is bad and I understand your anger. But if they were never confirmed then I'm sorry but just assuming it will be the same as last year doesn't always work. It is disappointing as the Pirnces don't offer appear at all though.
I think they have moved the villains into a better managed area due to the scrum following the Mix and Mingle. I guess having some in proper lines at fairytale hall and others at the dance party makes it easier to control crowds.

Its not obvious whether the addition of the event in CRT has caused them to remove the Princes from appearing or not. But I think it is unrelated, whether or not the CRT dessert party was offered I think they would have changed the meet and greets. Also as it is a Halloween party it does make sense for the villians to take centre stage next to the Princesses.

Villains are huge right now. Disney assumed that MOST guests would find villains a bigger draw then princes. They are probably correct.

Villains have been huge for a while now. And previously you could see both villains AND the princes.
