Villian theme park? Old podcast...

Hey All!

I've only recently found the podcast (about three months ago) and I'm totally hooked. I've been going back and listening to all the archives. I work nights at a sleep lab and all the banter and laughter makes it easy to stay up all night.

In an old show, Feb. '08 I think, they talked about how there was one newpaper that stated there was an official announcement about a 5th park that would be a villian theme. Although everyone aggreed that there was no true announcement, Pete was confident that this was a planted "leak" to get stock holders to keep from dumping stocks. But, if I understood correctly, it sounded like the podcasters where confident that at some point there truly would be a 5th park to keep tourism strong at Disney and not give Universal a chance to get too much of the market.

I have looked around, but haven't found any other information. Do we know anything else about this? Is this still wild speculation or has there been any other breadcrumbs of information?

Pete, on a later show, admitted that he was duped by a tongue in cheek story in the Motley Fool.

The article was meant to be a spoof, but Pete didn't catch that on initially reading the article. Honest mistake.
