Villas-Wilderness Lodge vs. Animal Kingdom Lodge

First trip to WDW--kids will be 5 and 7 yrs old.

My son's favorite resort in the world is AKL. He can't find another resort that can compete with the wonderful animals onsite--plus the pool area and resort general areas are great, too. We've stayed at the WL once, and it was nice, but we can't go to Disney and miss a stay at AKL for a least a night or two (but we usually hotel-switch to be near different parks at different points in our trip). Have fun!
