Probably something along 192 I suppose. I'm only familiar with the 535/536 area of resorts (am leaning hard toward Cypress Point and have stayed at the Vistana), but thought I'd better look into any nice properties near I92/World Dr area too.....maybe just for comparison. Each morning I'll be driving dh to a conference at the Swan while we stay in Orlando. It took 20-25 minutes round trip from the Vistana when we did this last time. Just wondering if there is anything closer and just as nice as Vistana or Cypress Point that I'm overlooking.

Thanks much.

I assume you mean off-site right.

because BWV and BCV are within walking distance. You can rent points from a DVC member on the dvc rental/trades forum on this site.

Westgate Villa is pretty close to AK, so is Silver Lake - that would be US 192. I can't recommend Westgate - horrible sales people - but Silver Lake gets good reviews.

the new Fairfield is very close -- Bonnett Creek.

Yeah, off-site. My understanding is that getting a DVC would be quite a bit more expensive than something comparable off-site.
We stayed at the YC last year for this conference(5 minute walk), but this year we'll have 4 kids and quite possibly my IN-laws. Cypress Point 3 bdrm seem about perfect, but that will be a good clip to the Swan each day.

I"ll look into Silver Lake and the Westgate Villas. I know they both get mixed reviews....

Thanks again.

when is it?

for Sept, Oct, most of Nov, Jan, and some of Dec (next year all of Dec is gone for this year)

you can rent a studio for

$80 OKW
$120 BWV (pref), BCV, and VWL
$110 SSR

if you find someone who owns at bwv
$90 bwv STANDARD VIEW

per night (sun-thurs nights) - don't stay on the weekend - those are plain......

$200 Okw per night (fri/sat) and the others even more!

Aren't there some condos in the same complex as the MOWC? I think that may be as close as you'll get.

those are Marriott -
Royal Palms
Sabal Palms
Imperial Palms

the last time I looked the Marriott were as expensive to rent as DVC (from a DVC member not CRO (WDTC))

no the new Fairfield is closer

the Fairfield is really close to Disney's Carribean Resort.

are you a member of II or RCI?

the Sheraton Vistana is just behind and to the side of the MOWC
