Villas/Regular rooms - which ones are nearest each other?

This is kinda a dumb question, but here goes anyway...

DH and I (well, mostly I) want to buy into DVC, but we've never stayed there. I had been working on my sister & her family to rent a 2br DVC villa somewhere, but she's gotten cold feet about renting from a stranger. (I don't think y'all are stranger than most... ) She's ok with waiting 'til rooms become available in CRO, but I doubt that we'll be able to find a 2br where I'd prefer at the 5 month window.

ANYWAY, I got to thinking that what we could possibly do is - DH and I rent a studio or 1Br and my sister gets her room at the same place. I'd love to be nearby so they could come over and hang out...

So my long-winded question is - are there villas/hotels where the rooms are intermixed?

I guess the closest together would be the DVC villas and AKL Resort rooms in the Jambo House at AKV. Those are in the same building.

But BCV, VWL and BWV all have resort rooms relatively close (less than 5 minute walk for most part) together. OKW and SSR are the only DVC locations that don't have a regular resort.

If she is reserving a DVC studio through CRO, she will still be in the DVC portion of any of the resorts. Of course, if you are talking about OKW or SSR, you would want to make sure you are in the same building. If you are talking about resorts like BWV/BWI and Yach and Beach/BCV, then there is a seperate area for the DVC accommodations from the regular rooms again unless she specifically books a DVC room from CRO.

Thanks... I guess I was hoping that BWV & BWI were intermingled. I already knew that WLV and BCV were separate.

Hmmm.... Maybe we should go for AKL/AKV!

In that case, you are correct....AKL/AKV will have the best chance of being closer if you book at Jambo.
