Does anybody know anything about this facility?

It's not a timeshare and it's not listed with either II or RCI.

The website doesn't go into too much detail.

It's off 192 just west of Orange Lake (well, on the south side of 192).

Thanks for any info you might have.

I can only say I have driven by the complex in the Lindfields area. Nice quiet area, close to the parks, can make use of the Sherberth Rd. entrance, near by is Orange lakes Publix on 192 , and the Formosa Gardens shoppping center with Outback, Carrabas, Giordonos, taco bell, market place grocer, doc in a box, sushi rest., subway, dairy bar, cracker barrel, TGI Fridays, walgreens and red lobster are on the other 2 corners.

We own a home nearby so I am very familiar with the area just not the complex. Hope that helps some.

Thanks for the info.

We stayed at OLCC in May 05. We had a 2BR the 1st week and a 3BR the 2nd. Very nice.

I noticed it was close to OL.

Quick question if you don't mind (maybe you can help since you seem to be quite familiar with the area)...

While looking at Google maps, I noticed that you can turn left on Black Lake Rd off of 192 just west of the new 429 and E Orange Lake Blvd.

I know you can follow Black Lake Rd all the way to Sherberth Rd. You can take a left and follow Sherberth until it hits Osceola Pkwy inside WDW.

But as you turn off of 192 onto Black Lake Rd it looks like there's a service road off the left that heads right to the AK Lodge area and hits Osceola Pkwy. Do you know if this road is open? Can we take it to bypass traffic on 192?

Thanks

There is a service rd that branches off Sherberth rd we followed but I can not remember where exactly we ended up coming out on 192 of course so it very well might be.

It was in Feb. so its not like it was years ago but I am not exact in where it came out my husband was driving and so I am less aware of what is what when not being in control of the wheel.

I've stayed across the street at Grand Palms. It's a nice area. I talked to a very nice owner at Villas at Island Club as a back up to the condo we usually stay in. They are not a timeshare. I think they are mainly rented by owner or by a management company. They're all independently owned. Check out www.stayflorida.net . It's the site of the owner I mentioned. He's very nice and if his condo isn't available, he can refer you to his management company who probably has other condos available.

Hello, here is cut and paste of a post I did a while back. We stay 3 winter months just a couple of miles from there and they still look well kept....good luck...Ted

Posts: 258 My family and I have stayed at the Villas at Island Club 2 different times, the latest being in January of '04. We rented through a private owner as well and it was very inexpensive. You got a GREAT price for 8 nights for a 3 bedroom! For $56 a night for a 3 bedroom, you can beat it! They are roughly 6-8 years old condos, so they are not the brand spankin' new lavish ones like they are building now around the area. Having said that we would go back again if the opportunity arose, it is definately a great place to find a great deal! The complex is very quiet, at least in Jan/Feb when we go there, the other residents are very friendly, there is plenty of parking, there are 2 pools, a kind of more community pool and a "quiet" pool closer to the front of the complex. The whole complex is fairly small so the units are all quite close to one pool or the other. We never used the club house so I can't comment on those. The condos themselves are quite nicely decorated. The living area is very roomy and the master bedroom is quite large with an attached bath. The 2nd and 3rd are decent sized with a share bath in the hallway. The kitchen is a bit small but very functional with an oven, stove, micro, fridge, and dishwasher. There is a large pantry as well and a dining table. Ask your owner for some pictures or do a search to find some insides of others as they are all quite similar.
Congrats on the great find! It only takes about 10 minutes to get to Disney from Lindfields Blvd where the Villas are located, and it is on the "quieter" end of Rt 192! Enjoy!

I would agree...nice but basic units...If on VRBO I think you have a much better chance of getting one of the nicer units...

very easy access to Disney via Sherberth Rd. about 2 miles east on 192...Turn left on Sherberth and go about 1.5 miles ( it will wind around a little) and you come to a stiop light at Osceola Parkway...left is Animal Kinddom LODGE and right is all of Disney...just follow the signs to all parks...to exit Disney follow the signs to Animal Kingdom and then be sure to follow the last sign to Animal Kingdom LODGE (just stay left and do not go into Animal Kingdom....turn left at the stop light and go back to 192 and turn right to get to the red brick Lindfields sign that takes you to Villas at Island Club...the Lindfields sign is a faded gold on red brick and does not stand out so watch closely for it on the left or south side of 192.

The rooms are nice and the master bath has a nice walk in shower...pool was very warm and nice...

enjoy...Ted

Thanks for all the input.

I feel much better now.

But heck... we're 19 days away! I don't know if anything would get me flustered at this point!
