Has anyone stayed at Villas at Island Club which is situated off Lindfields Blvd on the US 192? I initially confused it with Island Club resort and spa which has had terrible reviews on the trip advisor site. Stories of cockroaches and dirty apartments etc. The condos look very similar so I would appreciate any feedback.

We've got it for a week in August through a timeshare exchange company. They say they have never had an bad reports about it. I'm probably worrying for nothing but they do seem to be very similar resorts looking at photos of the resorts.

We've got the Vistana resort for our first week which sounds brilliant but I just want to make sure our second week is as good. We do have the option of cancelling if we want.

Hi..
I may be mistaken, but Villas at Island Club are not time shares. These are condos that are owned by individuals and rented out much as vacation homes. These are nice but basic condos that are VERY livable but a step down from the high end time shares with tiled baths, whirlpool tubs and ultra high end furniture. The owners furnish the condos and they can be very different.

It is possible that there is a section there that are time shares with very similar furniture and amenities like most time shares. I am not aware that these units changed to time shares but it is possible.

If questions, I would ask if they are time shares or condos for rent. Either way, they will be nice accomdations in a convenient area to Disney.

Good Luck, and have a wonderful trip...

I stayed there two years ago. My room was poolside, Mine was nice and clean, and a fully furnished kitchen. It is not a resort type of place however, if your the type to want to hang out on property, I wasn't, so it suited me fine.

Three bedorooms, one with a master bath. Pretty convienient to the parks. I think I paid 80 a night.

Thanks for the information. Because we are staying at the Vistana for the first week, which I know is very busy with a lot of activities available, it sounds as if the second week will be totally different. I'm not sure which will suit us more but it will be an interesting contrast.

As long as the beds are comfortable and there's a decent swimming pool for the kids I'm sure we'll be fine.

It isn't a timeshare resort, you're right Ted. Apparently the timeshare exchange company we use has trading partners in the US and about 20 of the condos are reserved for use by timeshare owners.

Hi, I am sure you have a wonderful two weeks. There is so much to do that two weeks make it a perfect vacation.

If we can help with any other info let us know.

Ted
