They probably don’t want to take away the attention and marketing from VGF AND RIV until they absolutely have to.Come on Disney... open up sales and take my money![]()
Good point because at MM they will be asked 1:1 ratio of people going probably. “So about that tower…”.They probably don’t want to take away the attention and marketing from VGF AND RIV until they absolutely have to.
I’m still hoping for some information at the DCA moonlight magic in Feb while members are on property and covered in pixie dust…. But we shall see…
Well bummer. No email here. We had a wonderful guide based in California. We’d meet up for coffee and such. Great enough that she got promoted out of sales. Switched to a new guide inFlorida. Talked to him on the phone a couple of times. So so….My guide, whom I rarely exchange emails with, sent me an unsolicited email today that was an “update to Disneyland dvc hotel”. The email wasn’t much of an update other than they’re moving right along with construction and he’ll let me know when sales/pricing announced. I’m hoping that’s soon.
Smart of them. I’d have a 30/60/90 day plan and try to get buyers locked in so they are ready to pull the trigger regardless of what is going on in financial markets/interest rates (debt ceiling?) and before vloggers can give room tours that vacillate between over hyping and hyper critiquing every detail. My guide, whom I rarely exchange emails with, sent me an unsolicited email today that was an “update to Disneyland dvc hotel”. Yup- most likely same guide, same email content. I’ve never met him in person but he’s been my guide for many years and has made my purchases very easy. I was going to add on at gfv2 but when they couldn’t do current use year points I decided it didn’t make financial sense to add on there. Hopefully Disneyland Hotel villas will include a set of points to start with instead of borrowing from the start like gfv2. Those extra points I got with my Rivera contract tipped the scales for me. Excited to see the point charts. We’re west coast but wdw is typically much less $ just because we renew wdw ap’s… would sure love a system where we could buy an ap that allowed us admission to wdw and dl for the corresponding number of park days we had dvc reservations for at home resorts.Same. I wonder if we have the same guide. Haha. KS? “should be in the next few months we have solid dates / info!” I was surprised and exited to get his email but looks like it’s not imminent. He also just wanted to make sure we knew when it does happen not to panic - going to be crazy busy but it’s not going to sell out immediately. Millions of points. Tee hee basically just probably has a ton of people on his roster and doesn’t want them to bail and call the first rep they can get ahold of and lose the commission while we are waiting for his many peeps. Tee hee. While we’re excited and will be chomping at the bit we can wait for our guide… within reason. Cuz he’s cool. Haha.
Yeah, I’d assume most purchases will be cash with interest rates so high now. I was able to split my Rivera contract into 3 payments which made cash purchase less painful. That was during covid though so fingers crossed they’ll be that accommodating with dl sales. I remember reading some fairly negative reviews of Rivera but loved it from what I could see in videos and pictures. I ended up purchasing sight unseen and when we finally had our first stay we unanimously decided it was our very favorite. I have a feeling that dl hotel villas will have the same feeling for us.Smart of them. Somehow I missed that fiasco about the rower. $3200?! The Concept2 is generally considered the gold standard and it's less than a third of that!I hope this doesn’t end up like the Peloton Row, where everyone was super excited and ready to buy and then they came out with a $3200 price tag and it stopped people in their tracks. If they try and price this thing like Grand Cal at $300+pp and a high point chart then I bet a lot of current members just try and book at 7 months.
What? Did someone say we‘re getting a Peloton rower with VDH tower purchase????Somehow I missed that fiasco about the rower. $3200?! The Concept2 is generally considered the gold standard and it's less than a third of that!
I agree....I hope the DLH doesn't parallel that situation.
