I honestly do know better than to listen to things I read on Facebook--and even to some of what I read here! But someone posted something yesterday that is just eating at the back of my mind! It was on a post discussing the upcoming party. They said they heard that Disney isn't limiting the number of tickets sold for it and will actually sell to park capacity! That it could be just as crowded as those photos I saw of last year!

Please tell me this can't possibly be the case! :scared: I spent lots of money on these tickets, assuming it would be much more controlled and enjoyable this time around. But the fact that it hasn't sold out does have me worried about just how many tickets they are selling.

Thoughts?????

Wasn't the main issue that it was not a CM restricted event last year and they caused the huge crowds? Being a hard ticketed event, that should no longer be a problem, right?

I'm not sure what "CM restricted" means--sorry!

Cast members get in free normally. They would not for this.

They would have to have some limit because of fire codes. They couldn't sell tickets and tell people they can't come in due to capacity.

I wouldn't worry until somebody hears the same from one of the bus drivers:rotfl2:. This is a hard-ticket event, just like many others that Disney does...not re-inventing the wheel. I'm sure everything will be well planned and successful.

One would hope, but really after the absolute nightmare it was last year and how unbelievably poorly executed it was, I don't fault people for being concerned.

Because of how poorly planned last year was, I'm really really hoping they learned their lesson. The only scary part of this party should be the villains, not the crowds!

I got my ticket the last day of pre-sales for annual passes…and I thought I was going to be too late and it would be sold out. I’m a little shocked there are still tickets. So…I have to ask what the limit of tickets are? I hope it’s not so packed and wall-to-wall guests that you can’t move!

Christopher – We definitely wanted to give Passholders the first opportunity at tickets. Although sales are continuing, rest assured there is a pre-determined limit that will keep the event comfortable and enjoyable for everyone.

From the comments on the announcement on 23rd July... hope that helps ease your mind!

To put my input in:
-Making it a hard ticketed event will be keeping a lot of people and cast members OUT of it, I have a lot of friends who have no interest in paying extra money for it so they're skipping out, especially with halloween season coming up

-And this year's events are also spread throughout the park, whereas last year it was much more centered around the hat & that area, and all the crowds were in there, this year there's things going on all around the park in different areas with different characters, and that will help a LOT.
Also Meg & Hades & Oogie Boogie are not doing meet and greet sets which will help with the insanity of the lines for characters.
