Villains sinister soiree 2015?

Well when did the soirée get announced last year because I'm definitely going to plan my party date around that

If people never took risks, then there would never be anything new offered. At some point in time, every thing offered in the parks was new and people did not know what to expect. Was everyone who ever bought tickets for the first event, showing, etc. just throwing money away?

No they weren't because believe it or not there was a time when Disney wasn't so money hungry that they actually offered pretty much everything that was new to everyone and didn't live on upselling. The admission that got you into the park is what assured you anything and everything new to experience. You didn't have to throw another $100 on top of $60-70 in order to have a "new experience" or any experience for that matter.

But there were people that did throw money at it blindly. There are people who will throw money at Disney blindly for anything honestly.

As I said, I was at the 2nd party. There was a rather long wait in City Hall for refunds. As word got out, yes, you knew what you were getting into if you did your research, knowing that party elements had changed and such.

Again, there's a reason nothing was done for MVMCP. Lesson learned perhaps?

Going forward, in the practice of good business, they need to make the correct changes. If you're pulling something, add something in its place to keep the value (which has gone up this year), if not, like we've said, it's a bait and switch. Disney doesn't want bad PR about them performing this practice, especially in an ongoing fashion.

Again I had my eyes WIDE OPEN and didn't blindly throw $ so please stop with that statement..... You decision not to go my be was to go had a blast and would do it freely again....

Well those times are over it would seem..

Know what aggravates me more than an upscale party for more money ? Having a ticket for MNSSHP or MVMCP and if you don't have a pass that gives you free parking you have to pay to park. That's poor customer service in my opinion.

Preach.

Or at least charge less for parking...you increased the price of the tickets this year, give the consumer who spends money on your park a break.

:rolleyes2
Yes, they are sadly(well when it comes to the special events). That still doesn't make her post valid.
At one time, just the admission to the park would have been an unknown. That was more what I was referring to.

I think there is something for everyone at Disney. If you don't think it was worth it that is fine, but no one needs to put down the people who did think it was worth it.

Yes I could never understand this:

No one is putting anyone down. You said you knew what you were getting into, and the other poster said some did not. You are not included in that "some". Lol

I'll let you think what you want. I was making a point that went over several heads here and I don't feel the need to continue explaining it. Also, I was never putting anyone down.

Interesting that this was announced 2 days after the Villains Unleashed disaster that I was at. There are threads her that covered it. Just an example is 2 hour wait for souvenirs, line to meet Maleficent 5 hours line closed the minute the party started...it was ridiculous. So I am shocked that they would announce it when they did. If they had a premium ticket on top of a premium ticket this year for MNSSHP I wouldn't buy it because I am going on 10/31 and that is premium $$$$$ enough

Thank you. Somebody gets it. The Soiree folks got duped some anyway... they got the old school Maleficent, not the live action one.

Why would you say some got duped???
As soon as the first soiree came in we all knew what to expect.. And if they have it again I gladly LOL throw $$$ at it again...

So I highly doubt anyone got as you say "duped"

We went to the late one and go there late too; maybe lost 20 minutes of the party at the end. Doing the late party if you can hack it actually is pretty cool as we got an empty Main Street to ourselves.

That's exactly the one I wanted. Unless live action Maleficent is actually Angelina Jolie I couldn't care less.

Seems like it really twists your nipple that people spent $$$ and enjoyed themselves.
