One of our trip days has Villains After Dark happening that night. We are DLand CA people and know from experience that party nights here draw low day time crowds. Is the same true for WDW's Magic Kingdom? Or should we avoid MK altogether that day? Will ig make other parks more crowded? Any tips welcome!

The villain after hours event won’t affect crowds at mk and definitely not at other parks. You might see a crowd difference around 7 pm because that’s what time they are allowed in with their event ticket but it shouldn’t be too noticeable

On our trip last May, there was one evening with an after hours event (not sure if it was the normal one or the villains one), and we definitely noticed an increase in crowds later in the day. Usually we get a lot done with short waits at the end of the night, but that never happened, and there were noticeably many cheerleader and band groups that showed up when the event started. It probably depends on time of year, but we're avoiding the parks with after hours events this time around.

ugh. I'm so torn because of this - we have a very short 2-day trip in late April and I know it's a big cheer competition weekend. Normally we go to MK on the 1st day but it's a Villians party day (which we aren't doing). I can't fathom going anywhere else on day 1 though....
