Hi there we have had a change of plan and find ourselves needing some help. We are a family of four (children aged 10 and 8) traveling to orlando 9th Aug to 30th. We will be staying ten nights at pop (free dining) and six nights at RPR (front of line pass). We were planning to go to Anna Maria for the first part of the holiday, as we love the wild beaches there, but now because its only for 5 nights we have changed our mind and fancy villa /suite in orlando area.
Can i tell you what we want and perhaps u can advise.
2 bed minimum
private pool
jacuzzi (if possible)
communal pool as lovely as possible with slides and lazy river posh!
Secluded/natural/green setting birds to spot etc

Doesnt have to be close to Disney etc as that is the next bit of the hols.

Any help tips would be welcome.:surfweb:

Maybe the Ginn Reunion Resort. This is a quick summary of what it says about it.
The Reunion community is on 2,300 acres of rolling terrain with three signature golf courses intermingled with miles of scenic walking and biking trails. Golf legend Tom Watson's first Florida golf course, the 7154 yard Independence Course and equally challenging 6916 yard Legacy Course, designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer, were named Top courses in the country by various publications. The Tradition Course, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course will be completed in late 2006.

Other resort amenities include: 6-lighted tennis courts, horseback riding, multi-level, 5-acre water park (with lazy river and water slides), pool bar and grill, Olympic size pool, health spa, hiking and biking trails, dining facilities, kids’ crew camp and activities, Segway and bike rentals and tours, and much more.

You can go to VRBO.com and find rentals. You would have to rent at least 3 bedrooms to get a private pool. Here's a link to one house but if you go above the title on the page and click on Reunion it will take you to others on the vrbo site. I don't know how secluded a place you'll find though.

Someone else may have some other ideas. You can find some of the things you want but it's hard to find them all in one place.

I hear that Ginn Reunion is very very nice. The other resort that comes to mind when you request a lazy river is Regal Palms.

If you wanted a private pool, you would need to rent a pool home rather than a town home.

Good luck!

To get your own pool and jacuzzi (spa) you will need to get a villa - although you won't need to use all the bedrooms, you will enjoy the extra space. Windsor Hills has a community pool with a great water slide - although no lazy river - and you can get a home on the lake there which is a lovely setting. For bird spotting etc you can visit the nearby Lake Louisa state park.

I have heard great things about the Ginn. I also stayed at the Villas of Grand Cypress last weekend. We had a huge 2 bedroom villa on the golf course. The villas have a pool for themselves that I never saw anyone using, although there is bar and food service there. If you want a bigger pool, you can head to the main hotel and use theirs which is awesome. Great golf, and other amenities also...
