Villa rental... help please....

Hi guys

We already have our Aug 2011 trip booked but we are also considering a trip at Easter 2011 but our usually 'villa man' is fully booked.

Could anyone please recommend a villa rental company/website that they have used? We have previously stayed on Formosa Gardens and Emerald Island and love this location....

Also the prices of the flights for the dates we are thinking of have dropped slightly today so I am thinking this is a sign that I should get it all booked asap

I'm at work on my phone just now but we had been looking at villas for our 2012 holiday (decided against it now) and I saved a particular one in my favourites just in case we change our minds as it was so lovely. I'll dig it out when I get home and post the video for it.

IIRC it was £600 per week in high season

At the moment I am limiting my search (with not much luck) to companies who have an office in the Kissimmee area so that should we have any problems we have somewhere to go to sort them out.... do you think I am being a bit silly? I am sure there are thousands of private owners with great villas but I just worry in case we have a problem whilst there

We have used our 'villa man' many times now and so I feel we have some peace of mind booking with him. We booked a villa in the Algarve through a private owner this summer and had no problems at all and they had a handy man who sorted all our queries but I felt I couldn't relax until we actually arrived at the villa and found everything as it should be

I'll keep looking!

Definitely Ali with a villa you would need that peace of mind. I've never stayed in one, but I would have the same worries as yourself if we did : I just read a horror story on the "Orlando Hotels & Attractions" sub-forum and it would make me very wary. That said, the villa I've linked to below I saved because the reviews I read for it on the Dis were excellent and the place looks fantastic. We just don't want to do it because we enjoy dining out and having a few beers, which is difficult when you have to drive.

The site for the villa is here. If you scroll to the very bottom of the page on the left hand side, in small letters, it says "Designed by View by Video" - click on the View by Video part and it takes you to a page with a video of the villa.

The villa is booked up for our dates so I'll keep on looking! I've sent a few emails this evening so hopefully I will find something suitable soon!

Spoke to my DH who has a database of villa's we have stayed at, not sure what your dates are but below is a link to a very good website and is filtered to show 4 bedrooms listed as available from beginning of April to first week of May.
All homes are in Kissimmee, let me know if you need any more help.

We have just come back from florida and we hired a lovely villa just off the 192 on a gated community - Bass Lakes.

It has a main bedroom and two rooms with single beds and a sofa bed in the living room, it had everything that you needed and even though it doesn't have a swimming pool they have a club house with a pool and hot tub which you can use.

The people who own it are uk based and rent for most of the year and only charge £200 a week and we are looking at going back next year.

so if anyone is interested i can give you there email address.

Id be interested in a web address or email address for this ! A reccomendation goes a long way in my book and although we normally look for a private pool for that price id be tempted to overlook it !!

We stayed in 2007 on our first trip at Windsor Palms - with the owner Alison Palms - the villa was fantastic! This time I've been back in touch with Alison for our trip next year and we are booked in at the Solana Resort - again with Alison. You can check out the website http://www.solanaorlando.com/. The accomodation at Windsor Palms was outstanding and the mangement company were great. I had no hesitations with booking again with Alison.

I hope you find what you are looking for I know only to well how daunting it can be booking a villa - we had one week last time after a family member let us down with our acommodation and I wished I knew somebody who could recommend one for us!
