Hi guys

This is my first post so please be gentle with me.

My brother in law is flying out on the 10th April and we're meeting him on the 13th so we would like to get a villa from 10/4 - 24/4 (we plan to grab a hotel after they go home for 3 days or so).

Not really sure the best place to go and find out about Villa's so if someone could point me in the right direction it would be very much appreciated and if you could recommend the best area's to stay etc.

Finally will it be ok to find hotel rooms around 25th-28th ok and how much do they start from?

Cheers

Hi and welcome.

We have stayed in a villa the past few years.
They are great for the extra room and privacy, it's also nice to have cooking facilities and that freedom to be able to relax sometimes.

There are thousand of villas to choose from, I would strongly recommend a location just off the 192 in Kissimmee.
Where you would be close to restaurants/supermarkets/Disney and the I4.

There are many nice villa developments around there, I particularly like Indian Creek.

try:

From experience I think....
It is advisable if the home is reasonably new and has a private south facing pool.
It's a good idea to take your time when booking until you feel like you have found the right home.
Ensure that a local Management Company are on hand to assist - virtually all home owners have 1 in place.
Ceiling fans in the rooms are advisable as the air-con in villas tends to be more regulated and not as icy cold.
A fully fenced pool is good too for extra privacy.
We also prefer a carpeted lounge as the tiled one's (of which there are many) do feel a bit cold and are not necessarily ideal for young children.

However, we all have our different ideas and have to do what suits us best, mine may differ from other people's - either way good luck with your planning.

Please PM me if you have any questions.

Hi wackojackouk

Welcome to the DIS and UK Trip Planning

I see you have had some good advice already regarding your villa choices :)

With regard to you question about hotels, I am sure you will be able to find a room on those dates as Orlando has plenty ;) Where were you looking to stay though? on-site at Disney or somewhere else??

My favourite site for privately owned villas are:

www.orlandovillas.com and www.villas4all.co.uk

Both have a send to all villa owners which saves time looking through all the villas - just send a request to all villa owners and wait for the replies to flood in.

I would consider just staying the extra 3 nights in the villa unless you really want to stay in a hotel - the cost for the extra nights in the villa wont be much more than a hotel and it'll save you packing up twice.

I have a wonderful recommendation. We stayed at a villa last year that is about 15 minutes from Disney. We were skeptical that the villa would actually be as pictured and actually it wasn't...it was even better! We went on blind faith and could not have been more pleased. The layout was perfect for several people to have their privacy. The owner has kept it up beautifully, communicates very well through e-mail, and the manager was great. If we ever get to go back that is where we are going to stay. My husband wants to go back and not even go to the parks...just lounge around in the house and the private pool. :thumbsup2

The Villa For You

Hi I've been looking for a villa and its taken me hours and hours of searching and eliminating to get what I HOPE is the right thing for my holiday in July. I'm actually sitting here waiting on the owner to call me back so I can run thorugh a few details. :rotfl2:

There are loads out there and Thanks to people like Johnny, Tartan Girl and Cyrano etc, I was able to find something good.

Planning your holiday is great fun - but searching for a villa is REALLY hard work. :surfweb:

I can add another website http://www.fabvillas.com/

Good Luck ;)
