I know the pull out couches we've experienced in the studios at VWL, BW & AKV all seemed to be doubles (they claim these are queens?) I think the 1br pull out at VWL was larger... or was it just the illusion created by a larger room?

I'd love to know as my 22yo DS might be staying with us in a studio, which would mean he's sharing the couch with his little brother. If it's a double I have a feeling the 11yo is being tossed to the floor.

It's the 1 bedroom pullouts that are queens. Pullouts in studios are doubles.

There are also three different types of sleeper sofas out there. The oldest style where you can feel the bar under your back while you sleep. The newer one like at SSR and OKW that has the memory foam and the cushions are removable. Then there is the third type like at BWV and BCV which has the non-removable cushions that flip under to support the bed. Not sure which one is at AKV.

AKV's studio sofa bed is NOT like the BCV ones. I was in both resorts last month and DGF had the sofa bed. They weren't the same, but she didn't complain about sleeping on either one. The one at AKV was harder to put back together, at least I thought so.

We had a awful uncomfortable sleeper sofa at OKW the last week of August. Metal bar and sagged.

Thanks Bobbi - I had never heard that the studios were anything but queen size - and after 3 stays in a studio I still had myself believing that it was some sort of a Disney joke.

I'll have to see if I can find a way to pop an air mattress on the floor (near the patio door?) as I know a 6'2" guy needs his space & the 4'10" one is a kicker. :rotfl: Feel like calling up and upgrading to the 1 bedroom now (doubt they have any available) - but want to save those points, particularly if DS doesn't come down.

In the studios you get one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa. When you open up the sleeper sofa in the studio, there really isn't much room between the edge of the sleeper sofa and the sliding window/door.

You could maybe put a blow up bed in the hallway by the bathroom, but it couldn't be very wide.

You're so right. OK, sleeping bag between the beds with extra pillows it is then - 11yos are good like that. He'll be too tired from Disney to complain anyway.
