villa or hotel

i was wondering if anyone has done both, if so which did you prefer?

how easy is drving in orlando?

Driving in Orlando is not difficult at all. Sometimes the traffic is heavy, which can be annoying, but as long as you're careful, is not a problem. Roads and exits are marked well, especially to the Disney parks.

We would never stay in a hotel again. We stay in a 2-br condo. 2 adults, 2 teens, and 2 younger children. This gives us some privacy and allows us to save a ton of money on food by using the kitchen facilities. We also have a washer/dryer which we use to keep down the mess when we get home.

Villa or condo for sure! We always try to get a one-bedroom condo when we go on vacation. We really want the privacy, for one. But, also, we eat breakfast in the condo or suite, so we save time and money, as well. I love breakfasts out, but I always thought that it was such a time waster when there is a lot one wants to do. Also, we're able to keep milk for the kids in the kitchen, etc.

I've never had a problem driving in Orlando, either. There are so many signs directing drivers to the correct parks, etc., it's pretty easy. It can get a little fast, when you aren't sure where you're going, but it's easier, because of the signs, than any other unfamiliar city.

Also, because of the competition out there, the condos /villas are all beautiful. And, better priced than the Disney hotels.

we stayed in a one bedroom with disney when our son was small and still napping. the advantage is being able to close the bedroom door.

if you want the space of a villa and the amenities of a hotel, I reccommend the wilderness lodge villas, beach club villas, or the boardwalk villas. all are adjascent to hotels and share amenities.
