Villa on a resort property - not private rental?

I would like to rent a villa or condo on a resort property (one that has you pick up your keys at a "main" office on-site) with communal pools and play area. I don't want to do a "private owner" rental in a residential area. I'd like to rent from a hotel- like resort. Also, I need a place that has room for ten people - like 3 or 4 bedroom villas or townhomes. I rented a private home before but didn't like the location (among "local" residents. I'd like to stay with mostly vacationers like myself). Any suggestions?

Sounds like maybe you could try hotelkingdom.com for Cypress Point ...it is a condo rental thru hotelkingdom, not private... they have 3 bedroom units.

We just stayed at Cypress Pointe in a 3 Bedroom Villa and loved it! It was wonderful. View of the Volcano Pool and a big,beautiful,wonderfully furnished 3 Bedroom Villa. It was soooo spacious with new furnishings.
I thought the only negative was the area it was located in was very busy!
Traffic,traffic,traffic...Of course being close to DTD and WDW it would be.
So if you can deal with that everything else is great! Me and my family had a wonderful visit and plan on staying there again and again.
We also booked ours thru Hotelkingdom.com
No problems whatsoever!

I would suggest either Emerald Island Resort or Windsor Palms, you still get the benefit of renting privately (price) but in a resort atmosphere..

You could also try one of the Marriott Resorts like the Grande Vista, Cypress Palms, Horizons, Sabal or Royal Palms at VacationClub.com Some other ones to look at could also be Sheraton's Vistana Resort and Villages...thru Starwood.com. Also, Hilton Grand Vacation Club at HGCV.com These are all villas that you can rent directly through the hotel.

Emerald Island has the resort clubhouse and also town homes or private homes. We had a great time in our own home with the added features of the clubhouse tot lot and volley ball pit we used for a giant sandbox.
