Hi all, I know VH offer a price match guaruntee, but is this only if you book direct through them i.e not through a travel agent? Also is it against any company - what about travel city direct who i believe are a "sister Company"?
Any help or info from those who have done this price match thingy would be appreciated. :goodvibes

thanks

Hi Disneymadhouse,

I don't know the answer to your question, but I think Virgin will ensure that not too many of their bookings can be beat on price within 14 days of booking.

They quote that it must be an identical holiday which includes the same dates, flights, room type, accommodation and board basis. It also applies to brochure packages only and excludes special offers, specific Travel Agent offers, group booking discounts, FREE add-ons, insurance premiums and credit card surcharges.

So they pretty much cover every eventuality.

But once you get a Virgin Holiday quote, try comparing it to booking separately the flights, car hire and Disney hotel-resort with theme park tickets and in some cases free dining, hopefully you might be surprised with a lower price.

Check out flights at www.virgin-atlantic.com

Check out car rental at www.carhire3000.com or www.usrentacar.co.uk

Check out Disney hotels & park tickets at http://wdtc.disneyinternational.com

Good Luck!/

Hi, I usually book a package holiday rather than doing it all seperately in case of any unusual occurences - i.e volcanic ash cloud and the weather!
I read the VH terms and conditions and just wondered if anyone had ever managed to get VH to drop their price to match someone else. We all want a good deal right?!:goodvibes

Im sure i remember reading that the airport has to be the same for a price match too. Which would rule out TCD as they fly into Sanford instead of MCO.

I can appreciate the concern with booking things seperately, but if you spend your time doing some research it can be worthwhile. Most of the time as long as you have adequate insurance and use a credit card to book flights then you shouldnt have any problems. And you could save yourself quite a lot of money. We are saving over a £1000 off Virgins price for a 2 week trip in October. :)

Last two trips stayed on site (WDW and Universal) and both trips saved at least £2,500 on each trip over Virgins price), and I also enjoyed planning the DIY trip....mind you I ccheck the flight dates against the hotel dates a 100 times :rotfl:

Be VERY carefully with VH so called price match - enough loop holes to basically not be worth the paper its printed on - yep i got burnt ;)
